And it begins; the first step towards setting the stage, post-election, for Bush to do his demonic business in Iran as well, leaving North Korea for his Florida brother, I guess... ...HAMBURG, Germany (Reuters) - Iran's secret service had contacts with Osama bin Laden's al Qaeda network ahead of the September 11 attacks on the United States, a German court heard on Thursday. Two members of Germany's Federal Criminal Police told a court in Hamburg a former Iranian spy had informed them of the contacts and had also said he tried to warn Washington about the attacks in mid-2001, but that the CIA had not believed him. The police officers were speaking at the trial of a Moroccan accused of aiding the September 11 attacks. The Iranian, identified only by his cover name Hamid Reza Zakeri emerged as a surprise witness, postponing the verdict which had been expected to clear the defendant. His credibility is under scrutiny by the presiding judges... Funny how this comes out of nowhere...
Nowhere? Bush named the names. Iraq, Iran and North Korea. Why is Iran a surprise? If anything we haven't moved fast enough on Iran. They 100% ready to have a full democratic government. We should help them.
Of course. Once we kill the ones who don't want a democracy, we'll then demonstrate to them how to run and establish said democracy. Honestly Mike, sometimes I'm surprised how dense you are.
Do you think the Iranians will be giving us flowers when our military "liberates" their country? It seems to be working so well in Iraq.
They will vote us an eternal offering of thanks, and give us discounts on their brothels. Oh, and then they'll promptly begin having Monsanto(c) sponsored western style democratic elections, presented by Haliburton(c) and Bechtel(c).
Don't worry Mel, taking care of Iran (Terror Inc.) makes too much sense for the Bush Administration to do anything about.
I have read the thread. I am just sick and tired of your negativity. I thought maybe you might mike to see something positive.
I don't know why I continue to bother replying to you. Do you really think that invading Iran in the way we invaded Iraq will create a "democracy?" Do you really think we're creating one in Iraq?
I did and I will be happy to quote an earlier post from you "Do you think the Iranians will be giving us flowers when our military "liberates" their country?" Key word her is when, not if. I ask again, are you a soothsayer?
I want to return to the idea that this idea that we need to do something about Iran is a "surprise." I don’t see how anyone can say that. Will it be a surprise if we bomb the nuclear reactor in Iran? Would it be surprise if it were found that the US was aiding dissident groups in Iran? Would it be a surprise if we had direct contacts with the military in North Korea? Would it be a surprise if we dropped leaflets in N Korea telling them that if they came south that we would feed them through the winter?
I just wonder if, in trying to make a case against Iraq with this: "[a former Iranian spy had informed two members of Germany's Federal Criminal Police that] Iran's secret service had contacts with Osama bin Laden's al Qaeda network ahead of the September 11 attacks on the United States", will Bush remember to include this: "[that the spy] also said he tried to warn Washington about the attacks in mid-2001, but that the CIA had not believed him"?
Re: Re: Iran! We're coming to kill your men, women and children next. Well, duh - obviously it just shows the CIA needs a new head. The current one is so useless he can't even find WMD in Iraq. Heck, he can't even plant them there!
Re: Re: Re: Iran! We're coming to kill your men, women and children next. To be honest, that's what I've been waiting for, but I know that BushCo. knows that they've GOT to plant them with the 100% ability NOT to get caught, OR attempt it AFTER Bush's re-election. They simply cannot afford to bungle that at this point, but if Bush gets back in office, the over-under on "discovering" a LARGE stockpile of planted *#*#*#*#*#*#*#*# is 8.5 months...
