A year ago?, a couple of days ago Trump called him P.T. Barnum, bitching about the number of weapons available. Trump is a bitch.
There are historical reasons for Iran's distrust of Russia After jointly occupying Iran with Britain in 1941, the Soviets refused to fully withdraw at the end of the war. Instead, they supported separatist movements in northern Iran, especially in Azerbaijan and backed the creation of short‑lived breakaway governments. These actions were widely interpreted as an attempt to carve out Soviet‑aligned buffer states or even annex territory. Historical evidence shows that the Soviet Union did support Saddam Hussein during the Iran–Iraq War (1980–1988) So, Iran being cautions makes sense and this explained why they went all in with China once they offered assistance and technology. Also - you have to appreciate the utter incompetence from the US foreign policy to drive 3 nations (Russia-China-Iran) that historically distrusted and disliked one another into each other`s arms. Hubris, hubris, hubris - and those very 3 could cause the end of the empire. You only had 1 job - keep playing them off each other In 1997, Biden bragged that he dismissed Russia's concerns about NATO expansion. Moscow could be ignored as the US was the only game in town- Biden mocked Russia's warning it would have to align with China, and joked that Russia could also partner with Iran as the crowd laughed pic.twitter.com/eGYHjZ0qGT— Glenn Diesen (@Glenn_Diesen) March 3, 2025
I'm aware but it's not about him. His analysis is on point on that topic and his other videos covering history. The conspiracy videos, I skip
And Glenn Diesen is supported by the Norwegian neo-Nazi party, and for years hid that he was being paid by Russia to write pro-Russian articles.
You guys always do that when you're presented with things you don't like to hear. I don't care about that Glenn guy, he pop up when I did a search for Biden clip because I know he said thay. The clip is the point and Biden did say thay, not "who's posting it"
It's not a big surprise that many American politicians dismissed Russia as a geopoltical threat in the late 90's. Heck, Obama thought he was zinging Romney with "The Eighties called, they want their foreign policy back" in 2012. In retrospect, it's clear they were naive. We get it--Russia was determined to focus on destroying the liberal world order rather than working to be a part of it. You're not telling us anything we don't know by digging up old quotes--but you ARE telling us something about your judgement when you reveal that the algorithms direct you to conspiracy theorists and paid Russian propagandists with far-right political ties.
All that is just blurb and copium. Biden's comment add context to the background that Iran was distrustful of the Soviet Union/Russia for the longest time - they still are to this day to some extend. It's relevant to point how the rapprochement happened. All that your personal attacks achieve his demonstrating the limits of your ability to debate and engage the argument. Deflection isn't clever
The answer depends on the day and/or time. Over the weekend the White House trotted out like 5 different justifications in 48 hours. In one way, this war is a lot like the 2nd Iraq War…the people in charge just wanted their war, dammit. Different factions within each administration had their own reasons, none of which make/made sense individually, many of which contradict each other. For a long time I wanted an answer to the question, why did we invade Iraq? I could never get a grasp on it. Then about a decade ago I realized I was never gonna get an answer, even a complicated, convoluted one, because there wasn’t one. And so I stopped worrying about it. It took me over a decade to figure that out last time. This time I figured it out in a couple of hours.
i saw a post that the US was now stealing Venezuelas gold. Things are so insane i decided not to check if it was real lol.
At least the characters in The Sopranos acknowledged that they were modeling themselves on The Godfather trilogy. The Trump people don't seem that self-aware.
It's about mining. https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cj322v8pjp5o Venezuela's interim president Delcy Rodríguez and US Secretary of the Interior Doug Burgum have said the two countries will be working together to develop mining in the country. Burgum, who leads President Donald Trump's National Energy Dominance Council, met Rodríguez at the presidential palace in Caracas, in the second visit by a US secretary since the US strikes and seizure of Nicolás Maduro in January. Venezuela has already changed its law to allow more foreign investment in its previously nationalised oil sector. Now the government is planning for similar reforms of its mining sector.
