Looking at the recent events, why would they stop until they get their terms? Just stopping without guarantees all but ensure that another round of this will happen. Political system has little to do with it

He says he wants to annex Canada, but really it's the province of Alberta they are after.

This is a very interesting conversation with Vali Nasr, an expert on Iran whose family fled the Iranian revolution and settled in the USA.

The point that struck me most (see around 20 mins in) was the shortsightedness of the policies of the Trumpists in scrapping the JCPOA in his first term.

The hope of the reformists in Iran such as Rouhani, and the calculations of Rouhani’s office, were that if the JCPOA lasted for around ten years, the middle class in Iran would have grown by around 35%. They thought a prosperous and growing middle class is the constituency for structural changes in Iranian civil society and were very much hoping that the JCPOA would lead to improvements in relations between Iran and the West.

By scrapping the JCPOA and imposing “maximum pressure” sanctions, Trump actually managed to shrink the middle class by pushing 20% of them below the poverty line within the first two years.

Those people will either be against the Iranian government if they blame the government for the sanctions, or will be against the USA if they blame the USA. He says they would be more likely to be more authoritarian and more radical.

With the war now on, I doubt many of them will be against the government because they can see clearly what the israeli-American aims are for the country - a Venezuela-type system at best, where the Iranian deep state remains in place so long as they hand over vital sectors of their economy and national resources to be run for American shareholders rather than Iranian people.

It has become support Israel or you hate the jews, no one outside of the African Nations who don't have clout have been able to thread the needle of saying they don't support the government they support the people. Plus remember in the US, there is AIPAC and I am sure in Europe there is some kind of Israeli lobby buying politicians off.

I think @Sufjan Guzan said it earlier but because of Bibi, I am not sure the US Israel alliance will survive another 10 to 15 years.

Maybe less if this war because a complete fail and drag on the economy. The left will talk about genocide and the dead school children, the right will crank up their jew hate which will outnumber the evangelicals at some point. Plus both sides will have their no more wars.

    Can whole administration have adhd?

It is easily understandable if you're not pre-programmed to interpret any and all x-american denominations in the context of the US exclusively.

Not quite. They do understand that they'll never have a patsy like Trump again so they are making the most of it.

Which supports the theory that they secretly wants the US out of the middle east as well. Future presidents acting tougher on them means they won't be able to act "unrestrained" which interferes with the Greater Israel project

The US being out of the region means they will go unrestrain and invade and annex the territories identified as greater Israel
    • Egypt ~25–30%
    • Jordan - Essentially 100%
    • Lebanon ~100% (hence Gaza 2.0)
    • Syria ~70–100% (Hence Turkiye being openly declared next on their list)
    • Iraq ~30–50%
    • Saudi Arabia ~30–33%
    • Kuwait ~10 - 20%
    • Palestinian 100%
So they need Iran down and the US out. When that happens, nothing will stop them

Looks like Iran is seeking "regime change" in both Qatar and UAE. Iran issues evacuation warning for specific areas in Doha, Qatar, and Dubai, UAE.

Iranian Armed Forces to Emirati and Qatari citizens:
    • "Despite our warnings, your rulers have sheltered American terrorists and allowed them to use your land to attack Iran."
Harsh...yes. Question is : how would the US react if any Latin American country had Chinese bases who were used to attack US soil? What would the US do to those countries?

    Just look at Cuba
    • 11 million people in Cuba being collectively punished
    • Power is out.
    • Food is rotting provoking famine
    • Children dying since no surgeries can be performed
    • Water pumps are shut down.
    • Sewage is overflowing into the streets.
