I really find your posts interesting when you post on topics where you have knowledge and expertise. Your posts on subjects where that is lacking are…well…lacking.

You wouldn’t use an aircraft carrier to protect shipping convoys. For ******** sake…the reason air craft carriers travel with an entire battle group is to…protect the aircraft carrier.

Didn't the women's soccer team not sing the anthem in a recent match and a few of them are seeking asylum in Australia ? I know this is a small group of people, but excuse me for being dubious about this "national unity". Is it likely that many of the ones still against the current leadership are afraid of coming out publicly given what happened a couple of months ago ?

  3. Yup.
The best way for the regime is to make the Israeli and the USA having to deplete their stocks, especially those strategically essential ones, to the point that the USA can't afford anymore support for Israel by restocking them.
And to make the economic costs so severe, any American candidate president can't get elected without putting breaks on what support is going to be supplied.

Wow...exaggerating much? This is anecdotal and you know it. No need to dumb this down

  5. I forgot who it was, but iirc it wasnot the tanman.
But hey, don't you lot hang on the lips of these WH occupants, to hear whatever they say.
I was struck by that fact of the very words of Truman being quoted (of course I dunno if it was a mere coincidence or a deliberate one) and the ominous character of that.

    I already realised that.

And yes, I have no clue about naval warfare.

Give that man the Nobel Peace Prize for ending yet another war! :ninja:

(Just ignore that he starts wars so that he can end them :cautious:)

So far 11 MQ-9 Reaper drones have been shot down. Early in the attacks I saw a video of a Reaper flying really low over Iran - less than 1000 feet for sure. Not sure why they are flying that low, but it puts them in range of various small, cheap, not radar guided weapons.

They would've had a plan, but they ran out of cocktail napkins after they finished with the replacement for the ACA.

Make sense if the other side is running out of interceptors. Less missiles are needed to get through the defense and to sustain the same level of damage. They are using more powerful missiles now

It's nothing new, the difference is that he's not even trying to hid it like his predecessor and the mask is off for the rest of the world to see.

Sadly, my feeling is that what bothers most Americans is not "his actions" but the "unwillingness" to hide or competently justify them. In other words - he's making George W Bush look like a genius

    I think it matters.
Trump would say that to sound tough.
Hegseth would be along the same lines, though he is also playing a video game and this would be like a Discord/Twitch boast.
Rubio is putting out the Admin message, though I don't think he is as hawkish as the other two apart from Cuba. And while he is a fool, he is better than the other two. Low bar to be sure, but not somebody I would expect to quote Truman's use of nuclear.

Weaponized or recon? I would expect recon and mapping in detail the ground covered. Assuming they are able to handle the quality of the image/video compression.

Well, they probably had a concept of a plan.

    Fewer. ;)

(I will say that coming out of the UK, I'm hearing professional people using "less" in that manner, so I've been wondering if the word meaning changing and that usage is being more acceptable.)

He was talking about the all Iranian ships, the one sunk by the submarine outside Sri Lanka included. Mind, that utterance is also problematic in that we have not officially declared war on Iran, yet Trump is calling it a war and acting as if it is a war.
