This statement from the Chicago diocese is excellent. It centers on the moral failures of this war. It focuses on how the White House and its social media posts are treating real death and suffering as if it were a video game. I wish the Cardinal had urged those who protest every day at abortion clinics to take a week and protest at enlistment centers, but I’ll take what I can get. https://www.archchicago.org/stateme...ch-archbishop-of-chicago-a-call-to-conscience
If only those with real political power like Bibi would stop providing electoral assistance to regimes fostering antisemitism like the Trump admin.
Statement from the joint commander in chief: https://www.timesofisrael.com/trump...-with-netanyahu-regarding-when-iran-war-ends/ US President Donald Trump told The Times of Israel on Sunday that a decision on when to end the war with Iran will be a “mutual” one that he’ll make together with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
While I agree faith in institutions is being destroyed we do objectively know things. OPs claims are factually incorrect. If he wanted to make an argument about Trumps grounds for appeal on legal matters he’d have more of a leg to stand on. The idea the jury made a mistake is not particularly credible. Trumps best arguments were always some narrow legalistic ones.
I have zero clue if Blinken's story is even true, but if it is, how is that any way to treat your most loyal and important ally?
Hers the thing though….the only people who believe this are Trump fans and the both sides are the same crowd. But why are we discussing this here? And why are you furthering this clearly off topic line of discussion? I mean….if this was in the proper thread….id point out that the OP has done such thorough research that he seems to think Trump’s 34 count felony conviction had to to with his constant misstatement of property values…his valuation of which depended on whether a high or low value (on the same property) benefitted him financially. But those of us who actually know what the ******** we’re talking about know that his criminal trial had nothing to do with that shit. That was his CIVIL FRAUD trial. His criminal conviction was the state level prosecution of the same crime Michael Cohen was convicted of.
This despicable administration will deny it until the end of time, though I am curious what the broader reaction will be.
Netanyahu has never seen a war that he wanted to end, regardless of any piece of paper he signed even temporarily pausing it.
Thanks for the link. Here’s the video of the interview. https://youtube.com/shorts/INZwofoO_cE?si=jJr4Dw6MAwoQ_Gwp
This is why i moved to the LOL Nothing Matters theory of politics. Who cares about the evidence and judicial rulings at trial. It’s vibe turtles all the way down.
Quatar, Iran, and possibly Saudi Arabia all ship urea fertilizer through the strait of Hormuz. This is likely to be a problem for India, east Africa, south east Asia and Australia.
its not just the trials and evidence. It’s the basic facts around any of this. As if the Dem lead DoJ was involved in any of this. It was the Dem DoJ that elected NOT to charge him federally as co conspirator #1 when he left office. It was the Dem led DoJ that elected NOT to federally charge him for his financial crimes. It was left to the state of NY to get justice for the crimes he committed against the state of NY.
The lies trump dreams up and spews to his base get more and more outrageous every day. It gives them talking points for their denials in their arguments.
And the Democrats who were conjuring up false pretenses to convince juries to convict him, are the same Democrats who didn't go after him for raping kids, or even make it public knowledge. On the one hand Democrats are playing 9D chess, on the other hand they are playing Go Fish like Ralph Wiggum and losing.
Does the GOP actually want to commit mass suicide (politically)? A draft for what might be the most unpopular war ever would be double-fisting the Kool-aid.
I am truly perplexed by this post. The dude was found guilty by a jury of his peers and now we are arguing the "validity" of the convictions?....This is literally the maga strategy you are unfortunately parroting here. The case was strong enough to call for a clear decision. It does not matter if Fox viewers don't believe it was guilty.
I came to this realisation late. Hurts as a lawyer to realise that, in the end, politics trumps law and the law therefore really doesn’t matter.
