If the Iranian regime's primary goal is to maintain its power, then that is not a defeat.

A severely weakened Iranian regime with no capability to threaten anyone, fund proxy terror militias and so forth is a victory in my mind. I don't care who stays in power, that's for them to decide.

Fair we certainly don't have all the information. I am very interested in the 400 terabytes of information that got wiped during the last administration. I want everyone that harmed a child prosecuted. Every last one of them!

On this forum we know the facts so lying to us is just a waste of everyone’s time.

In Trump’s first administration, his DOJ put Michael Cohen in prison for his participation in the same scheme.

I welcome Trump supporters; we don’t get to hear from them. But if you are a liar or are so inside the wingnut news bubble that you may as well be a liar, maybe this isn’t the place for you.

The concepts of victory and defeat must be understood in relative terms, as is often the case in modern wars where there is no formal surrender.
It is quite possible that the Iranian regime will see its potential survival as a victory, and proclaim it, making it 'effective' since it is impossible to draw a line between victory and defeat. The same is true for Israel and the United States, especially since no clear objective was defined from the outset.

Yes I do. Go back over the exchange. If it’s not clear just go to a search engine and look up Tehran water crisis.

The DoD cut off all the major news networks several months ago when they refused to agree to new coverage rules that would have allowed the DoD to effectively censor everything. Now there's no coverage of official narrative.

News continues to be very grim with no end in sight.

Iran war live: Israel hits Tehran oil depots; 2 killed in Saudi Arabia | US-Israel war on Iran News | Al Jazeera

"Tehran is barely visible through the dense blanket of pollution."

"US President Donald Trump made a “big mistake” by assuming Iran would capitulate after a few days of war, Iran’s parliament speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf says.

“Without a doubt our nation and our people will not surrender,” government news service IRNA quoted Qalibaf as saying. “They will fight, struggle and will not surrender.”"

    "Another US soldier has died."

"An Israeli army spokesman has vowed to continue carrying out strikes against Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corp (IRGC) members and suggested current US-Israel operations could continue “for a long time”."

    Both sides digging in. :(

Water crisis or not, moving Tehran,Iran capital to a different location, specially under the current circumstances, is simply nonsense...That is not hard to realize.

The inhalation of toxic fumes by a population of 16 million inhabitants (the population of Greater Tehran) will be a medium and long-term health catastrophe.

Well....the junior partner is the one deciding the terms of engagement......What a shock!

“Israel’s strikes on 30 Iranian fuel depots Saturday went far beyond what the U.S. expected when Israel notified it in advance, sparking the first significant disagreement between the allies since the war began eight days ago,” Axiosreports.

“The U.S. is concerned Israeli strikes on infrastructure that serves ordinary Iranians could backfire strategically, rallying Iranian society to support the regime and driving up oil prices.”

Its ghastly and horrific. The only thing I can (even remotely) liken it to is when we had forest fires raging to the east and west of us (in California) several years ago, and the whole sky across the Bay Area turned an eerie dark orange, in the middle of the day. This (situation in Tehran) is vastly worse and very dangerous for the people, no doubt. As I've said, Trump and Bibi should be cellies if there was justice in the world.

And the ones responsible for killing millions of other nations civilians to fight terrorists, drugs, coups and unjustified military strikes aren't?

  18. Uhm, does he have other info than the Pentagon?

Rapid Consumption of Ammunition: Reports indicate that if the conflict continues at the current intensity, the U.S. could face critical shortages of missiles within a matter of days. Specifically, the Pentagon has warned that critical missile stocks could run low within 10 days if strikes persist.

And it's easy to dine on someone elses wallet:

Financial Implications: The cost of ongoing operations is also a major concern. An initial surge of airstrikes has already cost around $779 million within the first 24 hours. Estimates suggest that if the conflict continues, the U.S. could end up spending approximately $210 billion.

And Israel hasnot got these worries:

Military analysts have cautioned against the ongoing high tempo of operations, suggesting that not only does it risk running low on essential munitions, but it also threatens to stretch military resources thin. This situation could potentially lead to operational vulnerabilities that adversaries may exploit.

In summary, the Pentagon's warnings highlight significant risks associated with the current rate of munitions consumption in the conflict with Iran, emphasizing both immediate operational concerns and long-term geopolitical implications

In fact Dave this is easy to look up. It's a fact that Trump repaid all his loans on time and there were no complaints form any bank that loaned him money. It's also a fact that everyone in NY state that took out loans for real estate were concerned about this case because it's how everyone gets loans. They had to be told by the Government of New York that this was a special case and no one else would be prosecuted even though this is how everyone gets loans.
In the Case of Cohen he was prosecuted for making excessive campaign contributions and unlawful corporate contributions.

Also I am an independent that has voted for Democrats far more than Republican in my life. I call out both parties when I see corruption and this was blatant by the democrats

I will assume it will reach $100 a barrel by the end of day tomorrow.
To borrow @The Jitty Slitter words: "Great jb everyone".

Oil prices surpassed $90 a barrel Friday, with American crude settling at $90.90, up 36% from a week ago, and Brent, the international standard, climbing 27% over the course of the week to land at $92.69.

Trump was convicted by a jury on 34 felony counts. That's a lot of felonies determined by a jury for someone you say paid his loans back in full. And remember, one of the jury member's primary news source was Truth social.

Not true. He massively lied about the property's value (tripled the size of his apartment), and he had his accounting firm fix the books in his favor. Related, he also gave differing values of the property to tax authorities (to lower his tax base) and to banks (to increase the amount he could borrow). That he paid it back is irrelevant to the fraud he used to receive the loan.

And if everybody did that, then everybody is behaving illegally.

Israel seem intent on turning Iran into Gaza 2.0 and Trump may live to regret the day he joined this as a junior partner.

How long before we see free Iran protests popping up?
