As I have mentioned, even the F-5s in Iran's service right now have little in common (other than in its frame) with the planes sold to Iran several decades ago. The missiles and munitions that the Iranian F-5s carry and fire require also upgraded avionics. In the meantime, these planes have been flying for Iran for over 30-35 years now, which means their engines have been overhauled while their spare parts are now being produced in Iran.

The Iranian F-5s, in that sense, are a different aircraft than the US made ones. Hence, even if the Saeghe was using munitions and avionics on Iran's F-5s, that would still be a different class of munitions and avionics than anything the American F-5s used to carry.

The Saeghe, of course, is a different plane altogether. While US sources had tried to label a remodeled F-5, Iran's decision to fly the Saeghe alongside the F-5 must have been in part to rebut these ridiculous propaganda talking points. As even Israeli sources have noted, the Saeghe does appear similar to the F/A-18.

Incidentally, the combat record of the F/A-18 is no where as stellar as 'scarecrow' tried to pretend. There have been several F/A-18 fighters lost in combat, including against even Saddam's forces.

As for scarecrow's pics showing the Hornet firing a couple of missiles, here is what Iranian F-5s can fire at once.

As for the F-16s in scarecrows pics, as well as the other American planes, let me note that the missiles they carry I believe have a shorter range than the missiles which Iran has fitted into its aircraft such as the F-14.

Iranian F-14s carry what are referred to as 'modified Hawk' anti aircraft missiles. The original Hawk missiles where designed as surface to air missiles, but with the modifications made in Iran, they are fired from Iran's fighter aircraft from an extended range.

Basically, with the advanced avionics on the F-14 (which doubles a something akin to a mini AWACS itself), and with the extended range of its modified Hawk missiles, those F-16 can be shot down by Iran's F-14s before the US F-16s are in range to engage the Iranian plane.

Iranian F14s Carry Hawk Missiles Successfully
You can see a video of the Hawk missiles being fired from the Iranian F-14s below.

As for us "JDAMS", or smart bombs, during these war games Iran tested a variety of smart bombs of its own. The most notable was the 2,000 pound, bunker buster, guided bomb that operates akin to an air launched cruise missile. Ordinary, run of the mill, JDAMs were fired off various Iranian fighter bombers, including the Saeghe, Iranian F-5s as well as Iranian F-4s shown below.

Those here who claim to be military experts, answer this question: which missile has greater range, better accuracy, and can hit and destroy its target from farther afield? The one being fired from this Iranian F-4 or the ones fired from the US F-16 in scarecrows pic?

I am not going to even compare Iran's F-14s, with the modifictions on them, with these American planes!

BTW, this pic (not from the recent war games) depicts some of the munitions on Iran's Mig29s.

IM you can keep up with your bluster, but the FACTS remain. US Planes are far far superior to anything iran has. Our missiles are far superior.

I notice that you concentrated on the F-16's, those are not even our primary air to air combat aircraft. Currently the F-15 is, a plane which has never been defeated in air to air combat.

As for the F/A-18's, anyone with a set of eyes can clearly see the differences in the aircraft. And while iran may have had some success in their war "games" the US systems are COMBAT PROVEN. Big difference.

As for the JDAM, that F-4 is dropping dumb bombs in that picture, also in the F-16 photo that is a guided air to ground missile being fired, you can easily tell that from the picture, in fact refer to the munitions I posted for the F/A-18 and you can even tell which missile it is. You are so dumb that you are trying to compare an air to air missile with an air to ground missile for range. LOL!! This just further shows how little you know or understand about the systems you are posting about.

And since you want to make bold statements, why don't you go ahead and post the stats on the ranges of all the missiles you are bragging about? Also post the range of all your aircraft, including the cheap F-5 knockoff.

IM there is nothing to compare. US Planes are far, far superior.
I notice you avoided the F-22 and the missile it was firing, and the JSF and the missile it was firing as well. The F-22 Raptor can engage and destroy all irans weak ass planes 50+ miles before the irani planes can even get to maxium engagment distance.

Keep up with the propaganda boy. It is funny to hear a person who ran away to the US to avoid military service in his country continue to spew crap about how great that same military is.

Some helpful links that give ranges of air to air missiles.
As you will see IM, the US missiles are all, gasp, solid fuel missiles. I know how important you think that is. :D

I have already posted reports about the modifications to Iran's fighter planes, indicating they have new missiles with a range far above the range of their original munitions. I have also posted a report about modified Hawks being fired by Iranian F-14s as well as posted a video link to witness that firing.

Basically, the Hawk missile was developed by the US as a SAM (surface to air missile). These SAM missiles have a maximum range of around 35 kilometers flying up to an altitude of 18,000 meters. When modified as they have been in Iran to be fired as air to air missiles, they dwarf the range of the traditional air to air missiles and come with more advanced radar systems.

I am, however, not able to detail the specific range of the modified Hawks since that information is secret and not available publicly. What is available publicly is the assertion by the Iranian military that these systems have greater range than the US ones.

You can read about the various Hawk SAM missiles, their specifications, and more at the linked article below, which includes a snipet about the modifications made to the Hawk by Iran.

Let Scare crow post the most fierce F-whatever# with specifics and then lets see if IM can counter it with what the iranians have to succesfully combat the F-whatever #, scarecrow posted.

I already have. I posted a link that provides ranges and specs concerning the missiles systems the US has. IM can't provide those, but of course because the irani military says they have better range then that makes it true.

As for the hawk, it is an outdated old SAM system. US built of course.

See the irani's never put out accurate data concerning their systems, and they exaggerate the capabilities of what they have. The facts remain, there is nothing iran has that the US doesn't or hasn't had since the 70's. OUr Radar systems, planes, everything are far more advanced no matter what propaganda IM posts.

Nice touch Scarecrow considering some Harry Schmidt half-wit type in an A-10 blew up Canadian soldiers last week with a air-to-ground missile from an A-10.

You guys are forgetting a Sukhoi can just about match anything. Pound for Pound a Sukhoi is about the most dangerous thing flying.

Iranian Mouth - The US Airforce is so overequipped right now it could send the reserves and take out any other air force on the planet. The only pilots who are trained with more time in the air is the Royal Saudi Air Force as Saudi's can afford anything. Deluding yourself that the Iranian military is ready for a US attack is senseless.
