Hello @ProfZodiac and all members of Big Soccer Forum. I stumbled across this website after searching for the great players/teams of Serie A. Its fantastic that this site has been going for so long! ....Regret that i didnt find this place earlier! I look forward to taking part in various forums and threads.
You got that right brother and I have some family not too far from you, in Germany and in Sweden. I recommend everyone to at least go to ONE World Cup game in your lifetime. I would LOVE to watch Die Mannschaft, in a live event. Glad to talk to another European footballer fan, you guys are quite knowledgeable about the game. Also, I remember Peter Shamichael, I believe his SON Casper is now your GK. I always route for you guys because Denmark is the small population country, and i like to route for underdogs (not that you guys are bad) but you do not have the population or same resources as say UK or Germany. Good luck to Denmark in the World Cup.
Thank you very much! My expectations for this one is DK finish second in our group, meet Argentina and then we go home to celebrate christmas We are definitely underdogs compared to the big teams, so only now and then we have a competetive team in DK. We are never going to be likely contenders for a cup win, but you can dream right? Oh, and the Euros in 2024 will be in Germany - so a good excuse to visit family and watch your team!
So I need to introduce myself BEFORE I can reply to comments in this threads? Do I have that right? I joined so I can see what's happening on the various coaching carousels.
Friend, this is the introduction thread, of course you have the right to introduce yourself and reply to comments. In some forums, you might have some restrictions for your first 50 posts but that is not the case with big Soccer. You came to the right place, they give updates on coaching changes, in all of the major leagues in Europe and in the world.
My fiancé from Bulgaria goes, 'I grew up a Stuttgart fan but because of your family, I am a Bayern fan and look at it on the bright spot, you already have the jerseys. I paid $200 for two long sleeve Germany jerseys. I thought I would be wearing them more than 3 times lol. I agree with you that compared to the big teams such as France and England, we are definitely the underdogs. France and England have what we used to have, a complete team, that is why they are hard to beat. With teams that focus on their dominant #10, it is easier to stop those teams because all you have to do is have help defense and a good goalkeeper (my position). I visited my family when I went to Barce, with the wife last year but it was only for a day. That was like a tease, I need a bit more of Germany. Is anyone planning on traveling to Munchen for the Euros 2024? We can all meet up at Hofbrauhaus or Weibbrahaus for the non-Germany games. I think that keeping Hansi Flick was the overall right decision, but I did not like how he blamed everyone but himself for Germany's misfortune. I HOPE this task force we create will help and I will put big Per Mertesacker in charge of player development. We need some fresh young faces on that task force, and we need to do some soul searching. When we are focused on football, we play well. When we are focused on politics we play poorly. Remember when we talked all that mess to the Hungarian National team and they beat us? Remember Russia(visited my other family again short vacation). We can use the UEFA to prepare for World Cup 2026 Americas . For the next Euro and World Cup dear Die Mannschaft, please let me wear your jerseys for more than 3 games! We do not need to reinvent the wheel, at least we can get rid of some of the older players who were holding us back. I see some talent with the young footballers, they just need some confidence injected in them. The old Die Mannschaft teams just oozed confidence and when teams like Iran, Yugoslavia or USA would play against us, you could see the fear in the opposition's eyes. The problem is no team will fear us as of right now we are an average European team. However, we can revisit this conversation in 3-4 years we can go from average to elite with some hard work, planning, and preparation, all German values. BTW where is your family from? And you want to talk about odd thanksgiving dinner conversations I am an American Navy vet who is German and Russian. It is so funny Russians on one side of the table, Germans on the other. I have to sit in one of the corners to claim neutrality, consider me Switzerland.
Text message who? You don't need to text message anyone to verify you exist, all you need is a big soccer account. This is not the CIA my friend, you don't need your entire familial history verified before they give you a job.
