Benni, Mats, Per and Marcel will start in the back, Draxler will get his first match as well. Mesut and Sami will get a rest here as well.

No Khedira/Özil would result in this?

    ----- Bender ----- Gündogan
    Reus ------- Götze ------- Podolski/Schürrle

Yea I imagine so. Podolski will start and so will Cacau if Klose isn't ready.

Özil will play according to Löw but not the whole match, more like 50-60 minutes. Draxler will definitely play but not as a starter.

Where are you getting your info? The kicker article states Oezil has "many games in the bones" ala needs a rest.

Also nothing is said about the LW position whether it be Schuerrle, Podolski or Goetze starting.

Yes. Can I post a site like this here or will I be severely punished because it's only semi-legal?

I dont think Merte does deserve to have a starting spot in the actual tourney. EVEN IF if he recovers quickly.

Mats is sacrosanct. Hope to see Boateng will take the other spot. Hope we wont get to see Madstuber.

    LAHM - HUMMELS - BOATENG - HÖWEDES

I also thought Lahm would play..

Would be really interesting to see the lineups tomorrow and the subs.
I want good things from the rookies ;)

You can always watch it on zdf.de, you just need a german proxy server. Also there are VLC plugins to watch german tv (just google VLC and Wilmaa tv)

Klose will start and maybe play all match because he needs every minute playtime he can get. Podolski will also play imo because he's one of the few who worked through all training sessions.

Repped. IMO Merte and Badstuber are about the slowest CB´s we have. I´d love to see Jerome take it with Hummels. But Höwedes as LB? I dunno about that...

Ah, yeah the order was LB - FB - FB -RB. I wouldnt wanna see a right-footed actual fullback taking over the LB spot. In general, I prefer Lahm on the left.

The only thing that speaks for Madstuber is he's a left-foot. But hell, Mats does play the left fullback spot so much better. As you rightfully said, Merte lost his and Madstuber never had speed.

The probable reason for Mertesacker and Schmelzer playing is that Lahm and Boateng got time to recover.

I think our official back four should be..

    Lahm hummels badstuber schmelzer

    Boetang on bench rotating in.

I hope schmelzer has a good game and can show he's starting material..

Is schmelzer a natural left back btw? Or am I just putting players wherever,.

Yes, the only actual LB in this team other than Lahm. Boateng and Höwedes are both natural CBs.

It is interesting that the friendly between Denmark and Brazil which is going on right now is in HSV's stadium. How did that happen ?
