We at SoccerLoop.com recently interviewed Tom Brainard, Executive Producer for Crusader Entertainment, regarding the new movie based on the 1950 USMNT that defeated England 1-0 in the WC in Brazil that year.

Tom gave us some good info regarding the movie, as well as open tryouts and casting for the movie. He also hinted at some MLS players getting involved and some cameos.

    Check it out!

Possibly the most sparse interview I've ever read. But thanks for posting the link.

Since the book was a bit disappointing (lack of a good soccer editor, ie the "penalty zone"), I am so psyched that David Aspinaugh is directing this film! I loved Hoosiers and Rudy, both well directed, well acted, and very authentic -looking production design.

As both a soccer fanatic and cinephile...

    I can't wait!!!!
