not a bad night in my opinion.

Eidur nets 2 in a 3-0 win, and just misses his hat trick by missing a penalty in the 90th minute.

Dessa and Gallas play the full 90 of a clean sheet vs Malta. I hope they keep up this form on Saturday.

Zenden started vs Austria but didn't do much, Jimmy only played 10 minutes.

    Lampard did not play.

Wales beat Italy - I must root against the Italians if they are foolish enough to have Panucci in the starting lineup.

And Seaman and Erickson cost England two points.

    Seaman

Can't see him playing again for England, can you?

Just what we needed - more Stanic on the left

Boudewijn Zenden is facing a spell on the sidelines after picking up an ankle injury during Holland's Euro 2004 qualifier against Austria.

Zenden limped out of the 3-0 win in Vienna in the 70th minute and it is not looking good for the Chelsea flyer.

"Nothing is broken and I also think nothing is torn off,'' Zenden said. "But I have lots of pain and can hardly stand on the foot. I'm afraid I will be out for Chelsea for a few weeks.''

Chelsea have an away match at Manchester City on Saturday before facing West Bromwich Albion at home the following weekend.

    Re: Seaman

Oh, he'll pull on an England shirt again i'm sure.
But, he'll never get of the bench.
