    Re: Soccer Pubs in Philadelphia

Lets see if I see him and how long he stays around :D We can't really block who gets in our sections unless they're obvious with what they are wearing or we know they are in different group, but we sure can block them from coming back again (if we remember :D). If they're there for opposite team they go flyin out. It's hard for me to notice someone getting happy after other team scores since we keep singing, sometimes I don't know they scored till 20-30 mins later :D

Maybe if he was wearing US jersey I'd notice cos I'd be giving him shit for that to start with

Because he was at a DCU and not a USMNT game. You don't wear anything but your team colors in your section, no matter what it might be.

I might be wrong about this but I have reason to believe if you go to Liverpool and your wearing a "England" Gerrard Jersey, I don't think you would catch too much "shit". They have England flags hangin in the KOP, don't they... who made this rule.

English fans are big time club before country fans especialy the fans of Liverpool. Besides that I thought it was common knowledge that in a supporters section its team colors only.

Of course I'm kidding. I'd never sing that at another team's game. Not without singing the entire "Fly Eagles Fly" song before it, at least!

    Re: OT EPL Piss Fest

Just to bring us back to the EPL for a second. I'd like to congratulate Morten Gamst Pedersen for a rare feat. He has now managed to acquire 2 yellow cards this season for brazenly putting his face in front of another players hand/fist/forearm. Its a truly amazing ability to get carded for being attacked onthe field, and he's managed to pull it off twice int eh span of 2 months. well done!

Lost a close one, 0-1 - thanks for asking. Still in the play-off hunt for promotion to the Premiership though. How's it going in your battle to stay in the Premiership? Is it still mathematically possible for you to stay up?

Sure you have. It involves much diving, wailing, and gnashing of teeth. Occasionally, someone kicks a ball.

    This may refresh your memory:

if i knew how to double quote different messages i would have done so..

ramblers, though i don't much like it, could be tied to william penn with the reference of walking about in nature. thus, quite relevant since he founded the city..

Re: Name the Team Suggestions @ Sons of Ben.com

No...I would attribute it to the oh-so-sexy soccer you guys play. Catenaccio. Feh.

Also, let's not forget that you got your first two Cups after raiding Argentina of its top players and declaring them "citizens"--the infamous oriundi.

But whatever. My mom's Italian, and wouldn't appreciate me pointing out such facts. Kind of like with the Germans--"don't mention the war," that sort of thing.

    Ciao!

players do tend to flop, you know, when they get headbutted square in the chest.

also loyola university's athletics nickname (at least in chicago...)
