    this is where i'm like this team is run by pecking order instead of performance. yueill didn't impress me last time. yueill is a lesser prospect. but despite not laying down an impressive performance he's preferred because he was there "first." to me if you do jack sh*t who cares if pomykal is the noob. if anything the fact you didn't blow the doors off should open them more for the next person. but we have some theoretical depth chart on a wall somewhere that anyone walking in has to work past.

    i understand back in the day you would have 15-18 players playing at least solid if not very well and you had to earn your way in as a kid. start with 10' and perform up to more time. but this is let's pretend one kid is more "starter" than the next one when no one has earned a thing. when did yueill earn his way out of purgatory?

    i think its a matter of berhalter seeing something in yueill (more than "disliking", or bringing pomykal in slowly).

    remember- he got minutes in the pre-gc friendlies and wasnt even eligible to play in the gc.

    ...but again, that is a very questionable evaluation to me, just guessing at motive.

    possibly. but to me the thing is gonzo has never gotten a game and we rostered 4 keepers, and we still wouldn't know who the 2 and 3 keepers are, if we went by performance.

    both should be on with Sargent and Morris playing in front of a 442. The way Egg has it set up, Morris and Boyd will be defending a lot and Sarge will be boxed in by cb's up top.

    that's why i say pecking order. thing is on the field he hasn't done crap yet.

    Yueill = 2 G 4 A 2019
    Pomykal = 2G 5A 2019

    and pomykal in the tiebreaker is the bonus baby from u20

    the reality check on rating him should be he got his cap and did nothing with it

    to continue favoring favorites after the games say otherwise is just actuating a pecking order in your head regardless of play

    used to be you got the second game by doing something in the first

    I actually think Morris has been one of our most effective wingers since Gregg took over

    No, Uruguay isn't blood thirsty team. They won't run up the score.

    If Suarez was playing they would be bloodthirsty and run up the score.

    Sargent can't press like Zardes? It was so helpful against Mexico

    "PRESS, PRESS," Berhalter screams, as 6 US defenders all take the worst route they possibly can and let Uruguay walk straight through.

    This team looks so poorly coached.

    Because at the moment your St. Louis outdoor stadium choices are Busch Stadium, period, dead stop.
