But it is CONCACAF we need to beat so that make him just about exactly what we need. Without the ability to beat CONCACAF nothing else matters.
I don't disagree, I think with the current pool he belongs in the squad, I just see his role as a sub more so than a starter. Running at tired legs.
To those of you who were up at 3 am to catch Freddy Adu with Aris. To those of you who were looking the most obscure corners of the Internet to find a stream of Nguyen in Vietnam. To those of you who stuck to some radio in a language you couldn't understand just to hear whether Luis Gil scores. To those of you who stayed the full 90 for this one. To all of you, I salute thee!
Lovitz has to be blackmailing Gregg. Back-to-back turnovers. On the previous one he initially missed a big switch, which if he hit the U.S. could have dribbled all the way to the end line.
I was trying to think if there was ever a lower point for us, Couva excepted. It's boring, the other team isn't trying, there's no fans, the foxcast is droning like a baseball game, the pitch is poor quality, the players look dispirited and Earnie just got a promotion.
Sadly, I don't think that was a below average game by our standards since mid 2015. There's definitely some recency bias when it comes to the disenchantment. There was no shortage of half or even full chances in that match. The finishing just wasn't good, didn't get some calls, at times the ball movement was too slow, and the defense against counters was leaky.
There's a real soccer match starting shortly. Argentina v. Mexico in the Alamodome. Mexico have the advantage of playing at home.
Roldan was pretty sharp playing one touch football in the final third. Morris was dangerous. Ream is the best CB we have to play this style of football. Baird looked good. Lima looked decent. Dest has his hiccups still, but man...he’s almost at Pulisic level potential.
Will Pomykal be kept on the Qatar room floor?......... [Sorry] A welcome break from all this. General Egg seems to have learned nothing from the Gold Cup...but, hey, maybe he learns from all the "Progress" in these friendlies.....
