To be fair, it isn't looking good for this fixture to come off.

I could see this going a lot of ways

    A. Play in front of crowd as planned (probably due to recklessness or if by some miracle the situation calms down or isn't as bad as we fear)

    B. Play with a limited crowd/behind closed doors

    C. Play at a different stadium in an area where the virus doesn't have as much of a spread (It was announced that this weekend's matches outside of Brabant province are going ahead with crowds as normal)

    D. Cancel the friendly altogether

With apologies to @USOutlaw16 (who made a perfectly innocent comment that started a threadjack) I have moved the covid-19 discussion to the Politics forum. Those interested enough in doing so can continue the conversation there.

This sounds much better than 'the day after the match gets canceled.'

    Sorry @bungadiri :ROFLMAO:

  11. Oh wait. I read it wrong. His Juventus team mate is infected and now he's locked in with the rest.

  12. Unless it's fake news, the president has banned all flights from Europe for 30 days. That will mean players travelling to Europe can't get back until mid April. So I guess it will be an all Euro based team then.

Silver Linings! Yes! No Lovitz. This also should give Berhalter some extra time to scout in Europe. :)
Probability this game is played is pretty much zilch.

Well damn. Now this will add another thick layer to the conspiracy theory about pro-MLS calls by Berhalter---"Well, he only called x player because there was a travel ban" (which will be applied to every European-based player).

If there's a travel ban, then how can Berhalter get back to Chicago after the game?

Don’t worry, Lovitz will clearly fall under the ‘special exceptions’ rule and make the trip.

We were supposed to release the roster so we could complain about it, and then cancel the game.

They should run old games on YouTube so we can argue about Landon's effectiveness.

    Ah, the Landycakes days....

Well, the suspended animation the program's been in since the Sarachan era morphs yet again.
