Robinson is looking rusty for sure, and doesn't look comfortable in the role he's got. Roldan not bad. Trapp is invisible, but perhaps that's because he looks so much like Yueill on tv. Yueill has looked like he understands what Berhalter wants from him, at least. Sargent not able to be involved enough--he looks to be dropping pretty far back to get the ball. Mihailovic has had a few good moves/ideas but has been off on his passing. Bad first half, lots of less than crisp passing.

 

This team is supposed to be constructed in a way that lets them use the ball to negate the lack of athleticism. Unfortunately, it looks like they’re slow and still bad on the ball.

 

These guys just don’t have the ability to play the style Gregg is asking them to play. He’s either going to have to change how he asks the team to play, or find a bunch of new players.

 

We are using the ball to disorganize ourselves to great effect.

 

Robinson kind of continually underwhelms me, in general.

Really did not expect this game to go as well as it has. What a pleasant surprise. Would love a draw out of this.

Been wondering about Nicholson for a while, he may very well have just earned himself a lot of tournament minutes.

 

This high press we keep trying is pretty dumb. There’s frequently 70 yards between the forwards and the back line.

Roldan under no pressure passes right to a Jamaican, who makes one pass to a teammate who has all day to pick his shot. Goal Jamaica. We suck.

In two minutes Holmes has become hands down the best player for the US today.

Very sad display. I don't want to feel this mad again. Half the team in the first half should never see the field again for this team. We used a game which should have been a tune up for a tournament we want to win as a try out for some players the coach was no sure about. Great. Meanwhile we made no progress with the players who will make the field, maybe not as a starter but will see some time. This is bad all around. I hope Sunday brings back that good feeling I want to have about my national team. The U20's have raised the bar as far as viewing joy goes. So, grown ups, get it together.

 

Did not expect a result tonight, wouldve been happy with a draw. Great for momentum going into the tournament. A few guys really cemented their places. Very excited to see what this looks like when a few of the resting players are added.

The USMNT will be fine, Pulisic and the rest of the cavalry will appear and allow them to make their usual Gold Cup run.

 

What is that you see in Djordje that makes him "far" better than Rodan?

 

Any word if Bailey and Morrison are really going to suit up?

Bailey will definitely be there for the 17th, he is out as a precaution.

Morrison was spotted at the US Embassy recently, which gives me some hope, but I'll honestly believe that when I see it.

I'd expect Mariappa, and am hopeful Daniel Johnson appears too.

I just wish they didn’t do the BS time wasting. They’re a good enough team that they shouldn’t have to do that. Other than that, they’re one of my favorite CONCACAF teams.

 

But that isn't what I said, is it? I said I'd rather see him in this game. Roldan has done nothing in numerous caps(including tonight). I'd rather see Mihailovic fail like we did tonight so I know we can also move on from him for now.

 

For the second time. And now the 4th or 5th time with Antoneeee - I've lost count.

How many times do we have to make a decision before it's a decision?
