the players look so much more aggressive and confident in their play under bento. execution is lacking though
what rly pisses me off is how we rely so much on our fullbacks and they always end up backpassing.. the attack always dies with the fullbacks
- Good first half, no goals conceded just yet. - The continuation of our fast tempo in passing, attacking, and counter-attacking is a really good sign of improvement, not to mention our pressing as well. - Defensive errors were evident as expected, although nothing too risky nor damaging on our defense, and the quick recovery from our mistakes is a sign of improvement. It's a good thing that our mistakes are showing clearly considering Bento and company can work on them before the Panama friendly and beyond, and we need to be playing against stronger opponents for us to spot and improve on our errors. - Don't know whether to say it's a good thing or bad, but the Ki+Jung Woo-young partnership seems to be clicking quite well at the moment. - Cavani yet again unable to be threatening, and no different from how he was against us in 2014, more so Stuani unable to capitalize on his good form. Uruguay unable to find the space and rhythm they are looking for is a definite plus. - One thing I have to give it to Uruguay is how scary both Godin and Coates are at the backline, even under a counter-attack, they are able to hustle back and out-muscle our offense in time. Something our defense needs to take lot's of notes from. - Forgot to mention that we defended well on Uruguay's setpiece.
Coates - I'm pretty sure his father is English and his mother from Uruguay. It always sounds weird to call him 'Co-ah-tes' rather than 'Coats'
lol... 86% female fans in the stadium tonight. No wonder the singing sounds more melodic and in tune.
