Forget joker. KSW is a cruel joke that should never be used when SHJ is fit.

    comical defending.
Still, when we had Ki, PJH, Son and KCH on the field, we were absolutely dominant.

Also a mistake to keep playing Kim Shin-wook.

Gave up two bad goals. Never good to give up goals, but sometimes you have to give the other side credit for a well made goal. But, today, it was poor defending that led to the two goals.

We have zero wiggle room when it comes to squad depth

Taking off players like Son and Ki wasn't the problem. The team was still dominant. The problem was that this defence gets too easily unlocked.

Yup. Zero. I'm hoping KJC comes good and we need a replacement for the wookie. Wookie should only come on when we are down a goal with 7 mins left and playing long balls into the box for a lucky knock-down. He is far too static and allows d's to sit off him and double Son. He doesn't have the hold up play or the passing skills either, meaning teams can tactically nullify #7.

For what it's worth, we looked alright offensively. Should have had one or two more goals if it weren't for KSW's ineptitude.

Sweden will play KSW like a rag doll if he starts. No way should he start against Sweden. We absolutely need more movement to play behind the backline. KSW was a liability today. We could have just thrown one of our GKs up top and had similar effects than what KSW showed.

    Today's pros:

    - Lee Yong. Did some nice attacking play. Also runs a lot.
    - SHM in the first half
    - KSY is class and forms a great partnership with...
    - ...PJH who made JWY look like a sloth

    Today's cons:

    - KSW showing he's only useful on Asian level. He's basically the reason why either SHM nor HHC could be used effectively.
    - set piece defending
    - no depth in the squad, especially in midfield. As soon as KSY got subbed, it was game over
    - referee

    Always a con:

    - JHS (vice captain)

Man there is a huge drop of quality between our starting lineup and our bench.
HHC is not a good player when we're playing possession based football. He could be really useful if we play counterattacking style though and he can use his speed to exploit the space.
Kim Shinwook is useless. I knew he wouldn't perform against a better opposition.
Seriously it's time to test out JDW again.
    Jang Hyunsoo lol.
Kim Minjae should have done better too.
Lee Yong played pretty well
Kim Seunggyu lol shitty distribution and goalkeeping.
But honestly though it was a pretty good test I think. Hopefully we test out HJH, KJC, and LGH, and Cho goalkeeper guy next.

    Typical Korea...

KMJ was awful today... And JHS made his fatal mistake as usual.

As for Kim Shin-Wook, he's shouldn't go to WC. Yes, he can score against third-rate Asian defenders who are like matchsticks. Any half-decent defender can easily dispossess him, and he has nothing apart from his 'supposed' aerial dominance. Talk about a oneno-trick pony.

Yeah he'll be nearly useless offensively, and he clearly doesn't fit our style of play. But I'm afraid STY will play him nonetheless because he's a "safe" option due to the safety his height provides on set pieces and aerial duels, both defensively and offensively.

I just hope SHJ and HHC can make all of that moot in the WC.

Today was terrible Our first string looked ok against a 3rd string Northern Ireland team and still couldn't produce. The K-LEaguers are looking like shizz more and evry year.

STY showed terrible game management yet again. It's looking pathetic.

Don't forget Paul Smyth only turned professional this year. He was playing semi-pro in Belfast until last year.

    Truth bomb incoming. Facts only:

KSG: Extremely unconvincing. Distribution the worst of the pool of Korean gks
    KJS/KMW: both ok, not outstanding
KMJ/JHS: Fraud performance from JHS and unconvincing/poor from KMG. our best backline in the past 4 years was KTH/KYG; KMJ fits the profile of the centerback we need but lacks experience/intelligence, feel like he might be exposed at WC
LY: after being completely anonymous at 2014 WC and done nothing in between, may end up being our best RB option
    KSY: god bless
PJH: has his strengths and weaknesses in midfield, doesn't have the athleticism i would want from a defensive-minded Ki partner but showed class on the ball
LJS: not good enough to be automatic 1st XI as he's been; technically inconsistent and lightweight but might still be our best option
SHM: predictably not as good as Tottenham SHM but was better than usual anonymous KNT SHM
KCH: automatic 1st XI, only guy besides SHM who has the ability to take guys 1v1 BUT really doesn't link up well/lacks understanding with SHM
KSW: just placeholder for JDW and SHJ but am afraid he is going to WC, thankfully sh!t today
HHC: too raw, don't think he is ready to contribute this WC and I'd be fine leaving him home but his tools are very exciting

the reason why SHM was ineffective is b/c he lacks world class technical ability. He cant control the play when he has the ball and needs to be used as a supportive player. We cant expect him to make things happen for us.
