It's still nothing to look at, Japan managed to score 4 goals against Oman whilst we looked pathetic during the second half. Any one of Coelho, Bonfrere, Huh Jung-moo, or even Verbeek's team would've trounced this god awful Canadian team.

(천안종합운동장 그라운드 상태는) 국내 최고 수준이었다. 관계자들에게 감사함을 전한다. 이런 좋은 그라운드 여건에서 경기를 할 때 우리가 원하는 경기력도 나온다. 패싱 플레이가 원활하게 이뤄졌다. 캐나다도 앞서 보여준 경기력과 다른 모습을 보여줬다. 그라운드 상태가 그만큼 변수가 될 수 있다. 감독 입장에서 크게 말이 필요 없을 정도로 좋은 경기력을 보여줬다. 90분 내내 경기를 지배했다. 2~3차례 세트피스에서 실점 위기가 있었지만 권순태가 실점을 막아냈다. 그런 부분을 제외하면 우리가 지배한 승부였다. 전반 30분까진 득점 뿐만 아니라 거의 완벽하게 상대를 위협했다. 패스 미스도 없었다. 하지만 치열한 승부 속에 체력이 떨어지며 후반에는 다소 미스가 나왔다. 전반적으로 만족스러운 경기였다. ▶우리가 준비했고 강조했던 부분들이 거의 완벽하게 나왔다. 특히 측면을 활용하는 플레이가 주효했다. 공격 가담력이 좋은 김창수, 박주호, 윤석영 등 풀백들이 볼 소유시 오버래핑을 잘 해줬다. 공격시 수적 우위를 가져갈 수 있는 부분이다. 최대한 넓게 벌려서 플레이를 하라고 지시했는데 그런 부분도 잘 이뤄졌다. 수비진에겐 가급적 라인을 올려 전방 압박을 하라고 지시했다. 상대가 체격 좋은 선수들이 많아 세트피스를 내줄 시 위협적일 수 있기 때문에 최대한 내려서지 않고자 했다. 1대1 등 수비시 적극성도 잘 발휘가 됐다. ▶상대에게 단 한 번도 위협적인 장면을 내주지 않은 경기를 본 적이 있는가. 브라질이나 바르셀로나도 경기 중 한 두 차례 상대에게 찬스를 내줄 수 있다. 어느 팀이든 특정 플레이에서 상대에게 위협적인 기회를 내줄 수 있다고 본다. 그리 우려할 만한 상황은 아니라고 생각한다. 20~30분 간 비슷한 상황이 지속된다면 문제지만 두 세 차례 위기에 크게 개의친 않는다. 실수없이 완벽하게 경기를 한다면 모든 경기가 0대0으로 끝나야 하지 않겠나
