She's 29, she had nothing to lose and at her age it was obvious she would be very unlikely to ever get called up for France.
Probably her long and serious injury last season had a part in her desire for a life-changing choice.
The thing is, she only chose Algeria after being rejected by France for years so that's not going to look good.
