The law is absolute bollocks. If a player raises his arms, inside the penalty area, asking for an offside to be called, and the ball comes from behind and hits his raised arms, isn't it a clear penalty? A handball should be called on two different criteria:

    1) It is intentional.
    2) The arm is not near the body or in an unnatural position when the ball hits it, or it is near the body but the trajectory change is too much (and has enough influence on the game) to just ignore it.

    1. The law is the law.
    2. Adriano didn't 'raise' his arm (his arm was in a totally normal position for whom leaps).
    3. He was in legal position, and not 'off-side'.
    4. The ball didn't come from behind: it came from his head.
    5. The arm was as near the body as allowed the situation, and that's not 'unnatural'.
    6. Whether his absolutely clean 'touch' changed 'a bit' or 'too much' the trajectory of the ball & 'influenced on the game' is irrelevant.
    7. Adriano's touch was as 'neutral' as if the ball had touched the referee or the post.
    8. That's why he was absolved: and correctly.;)

He knew the ball came off his hand and he celebrated so as to deceive... What's there to discuss? He's guilty as hell but he plays for Inter. Nothing new.

KingKong, would you stop being on the defensive for Christ's sakes? It's sad enough to have to read your 'Quixotadas' against the windmills in the brazilian board. My post is not an anti-Adriano argument, and neither a pro one, it just represents my thoughts on the 'legal' subject.

i for one do not believe the goal should have counted...as easy as a goal it could have been by just heading it on goal, the fact is the ball HIT his arm...which constitutes as a handball...so thus the goal should have not counted..do i think adriano should be banned? of course not..his intentions was to head the ball into the goal but his header was downward n in which case hit his arm accidentally...tho because it advanced his team as a goal it should not count...i think the refs r to blame..adriano scored a goal n hes gonna celebrate..the ref should call the infraction n if he doesnt than whose to blame adriano...i thought milan played a tough game n the mroe attractive soccer..inter just played counter attack physical play...tho they won...o well...i dont understand why everyone is still givin the league to inter...we win our games n our destiny is still in it, inter r in champs league n will have more games than us thus makin them subject to fatigue/injuries...we win 3 games when they time n we r down by 5...they lose 1 game when we win n we down by 2...than its ne1's game...dont give up faith

Who's on the defensive is you.

All I wrote was a merely technical post...
    ... & deserve a technical answer.

As you don't have any, you resort to 'effect phrases' exchanged in old threads in which you had the infelicity of being owned (if you hadn't been you'd limit yourself here to a technical answer) - phrases BTW which - if any - had'nt the slightest 'effect' at all.

All that in order to escape the logical trap in which you - the Forum's Sancho Panza (my right to use them now) - inadvertedly got caught.:D

    It's just 'your opinion', OK.

But between your opinion and the Italian Federation's (Silvio Berlusconi, the president of Milan is Italy's Prime-Minister, 15th man most rich in the world & suspicious of several corruption acts, for God's sake!) I - in fact an unsuspicious Milan sympathiser since it's half the Brz NT - stay with Federcalcio's healthy impartiality.;)

Absolutely disgraceful that he isn't being punished, especially considering just months ago a ban was issued to another player for the same exact thing. Just goes to show that the rules are not the same for everyone.

    Wrong.

An arm touch to be penalized has to be deliberate.

    Laws of the game:
Nothing proves in the clips or photos that Adriano's arm touch was 'deliberate': he might have even 'thought' of doing it, but he didn't need to since, after he failed his header, his arm already was in a passive position in the ball's trajectory - and not in an active one like Gila's, Messi's & Maradona's ('Hand of God').

All the guys who defend the illegitimacy of the goal are dealing with are no more than assumptions of 'what might have passed in Adriano's mind'.

And there are no International Board 'laws' on that.

    Any doubts? ...

Errrm, what???!? My God you're going senile!

Owned by who exactly? All I remember is a ridiculously large post with thrusts and lunges aimed at invisible giants, massively ignored by the other posters and completely irrelevant to the topic. KK, don't you get it? People don't take you seriously anymore, just about everybody in this site thinks you post on lysergia, under the influence of psychotropics. You're constantly turning things into fights between South America and Europe when not an ounce of rivalry is evident, and you're embarassing your fellow countrymen by popping up at every dark corner of these boards to spout the same unintelligible crap.

I'm sorry, I forgot I was speaking to the modern-day Schopenhauer. You're unable to express yourself logically without commiting unadvertedly falacies, and yet you've got the guts to pretend to build "logical traps"?

I guess you didn't even have the grace to take a look at my posts on the subject... First I advocated in favor of Adriano, and then I reflected on the actual law, which if I'm not mistaken is legislated by FIFA - and therefore has nothing to do with Federcalcio or Berlusconi -. In fact, we shared the same opinion, and yet there's an evident difference in purpose. I'm taking part in a dialogue, you're struggling against perennial imaginary enemies.

    Look, Kuls-Sancho-pruta,

    Don't try to speak 'difficult'.

You have no enough school for that.

Kilometric-long trolling posts like that won't be responded anymore.

I was talking about a specific subject and you come with your bitter memories of old.

Either you stick to the technical discussion here at hand or got to WR.

I don't have the obligation to know your 'complete works' to respond you.

    The last post is enough.

    Which said:
    And I just responded:
    Best regards.;)
