I do, if Kaka is not playing, which most likely he won't. (See Juve's result). We'll hold our own for a while, but our defense will rattle unless our midfield does a superb job of stopping them.
as shitty as it sounds im happy kaka isnt playin...havin him playin, i dont rly like how hes been doin...he has scored but the way he plays isnt how i like it...i think if we play wit ronaldinho n pato wit inzaghi up top we'll play better...one target man, one 1v1 guy n one guy who sets people up...play becks pirlo n flamini or seedorf in mid n lets just go out there n score...n win of course
Is Borriello fit? Without Kaka there is little pace in the side and someone like Boriello would feed off of Becks, Pirlo and Ronaldinho. Gluck
As of 2/9/09 - Stats are from Serie A 08/09 Season Kaka -> 11(4 P.k) Goals + 4 Assists / 20 Games (1784 Minutes) Played Pato -> 10 Goals + 4 Assists / 23 Games (1509 Minutes) Played Ronaldinho -> 7(2 P.k) Goals + 3 Assists / 19 Games (1321 Minutes) Played Becks -> 2 Goals + 2 Assists / 6 Games (520 Minutes) Played
I would say that unless Ancelotti pull some rabbit out of the hat our predicament is grim. Inter is very physical team and we are not. If they will take it to us, we will suffer.
I think you guys can pull through with a draw or even a win based on some conditions: Firstly, your defense needs to play mistake-free, which it can; Ibra cannot be allowed any room. Also, I think you need even more out of your midfield - Ronaldinho looked like his old self in the Italy/Brazil friendly. If he and Beckham cant spark some magic and create possession, goals can come. Inter haven't been playing all that great recently. I think you guys can take them...
The problem is from whom? We have Pato and maybe Inzaghi - Kaka is out. So our speed will be non-existent and we will have to rely on possession and development of the attack which everyone already knows how predictable it is.
Means getting nervous. It's usually and actually felt in your stomach when you're nervous about something - either sports, work or anything and your stomach feels weird.
Here's the projected lineup from La Gazzetta Dello Sport for Milan: Abbiati Zambrotta Kaladze Maldini Jankulovski Beckham Pirlo Ambrosini Seedorf Ronaldinho Pato Bench: Dida Antonini Senderos Nesta Flamini Shevchenko Inzaghi Inter: Julio Cesar Maicon Materazzi Samuel Santon Zanetti Cambiasso Muntari Stankovic Ibrahimovic Adriano Bench: Toldo Cordoba Chivu Vieira Mancini Figo Cruz And the one from Mediaset is the same too. A HUGE plus for Inter is Samuel,judging from his stats Inter don't conede too many or lose games when he's playing.The last 2 Derbys wins for Milan, Samuel had been injured.So we'll see how that plays out. Adriano has been playing like crap lately,Brazil v Italy he did nothing all game,so lets hope he stays that way and Ibracadabra likes to perform his disappearing act in these big games so lets hope he doesn't show up either. I REALLY don't like Milan's lineup though remember Juve?it was pretty much the exact same setup bar beckham.Our defense took a battering and our midfield got trounced which is a rarity.The setup is obvious,seedorf will have a more defensive role and it will be up to Becks/Pato/R80 to step up. If it was up to me i'd play Inzaghi up front with Pato since our strongest avenue of attack will be from the wings with high crosses into the box Pippo could be lethal in the box,besides...he has a tendancy to score in these type of games.
There's no way that Ancelotti would play this game with 2 strikers. Pato's form has been getting better and better, I feel he'll be the only player threatening Inter's defense. I know it's asking for too much, but it would've been great if he had more aerial threat .. from what i remember he scored a couple of good headers with Internacional. So, this is going to be the last derby for Il Capitano .. let's hope the rest of the team do him proud by doing all they can to win this one. It has been a triumphant career, hope it ends on a high note.
For sure, Materazzi is one of the dirtiest players I know .. btw, I thought he was injured and not playing
Yeh i know,i was trying to stress that if it were up to me hehe...Yeh there's no doubt Pato can score from headers but he doesn't position himself in the box well enough to win headers he's always looking for avenues through the defense on the ground as opposed to Inzaghi who's constantly looking to give his marker the slip to win a header. It's sad that Kaka,Nesta,Rino could not play,i'd really like to see Maldini in a full strength squad for the last Derby of his career.Oh well.The ultimate high note will be the Scudetto for Maldini.
