Someone correct me if I am wrong but this tournamnet has been so far one of the worst performance I've seen of Mexican teams. I know it is preseason, and teams are not fully fit, but it is not like they've been on summer break and were off for 2 months. It's been only 4 weeks, the teams should not be this lack luster. Their has been maybe one decent game but the rest have been very poor, second division quality.

This showing makes the Mexican league look bad, teams and players just don't look motivated to play. I know our league is alot better then these showing but this is somewhat embarresing. Maybe I am wrong, just my opinion. :)

to be fair, most of the teams either have new coaches, new players, or both. toluca - israel lopez, mario mendez, santiago fernandez. america - no davino or rojas, new defender, nunez and now no insua. atlas have a new coach and new players, morelia has a new coach and half a new team. cruz azul has a lot of new faces, monterrey has several new playes, and unam is playing with their second division team

not making excuses, but that has to affect a teams performance. not to mention the games in texas were below freezing

yeah they've been horrible performances, but i'd rather watch this than the superliga donkeycrap bunker-fest games.

Could not disagree more, SuperLiga at least showed effort on the part of the players. These tournament you it looks like the players could give a sh*t. Give me bunker games over bad passing, field goal shots and horrible goal keeping. Plus most of the Interliga games have also been bunker games, look at the scores:

    1-0
    1-0
    0-0
    1-0
    1-0
    2-0
    2-1
    2-0

    ;)

relax ladies who cares ,anyways the first jornadas are always rusty .......

btw if atlas qualifys i bet they would do better than whatever pumas tried to pull off last time in the libertadores.

In opinion, and not just because I support Chivas, if Atlas makes it to Libertadores they don't get out of the group stage. I am not trying to talk smack I just don't think you guys have a good enough team to play in two tournaments. :)

The interliga has never been a great football tournament.

So the bashing it gets is confusing considering its always been like this.

You guys make it seem like it was totally different in the past.

    Short memories you all have.

Anyway I enjoyed the America v Toluca game. Best game of the tourny by far.

Would you stop already. I'm not a football guru, but what you are saying is completely ridiculous.

Are you aware of how many youngsters debuted at the Superliga? Chivas played a bunch of 17-19 year olds against Dallas. I'm sure they really cared! Morelia's roster was drastically different from what it was and they were barely getting to know each other.

The only teams that cared were Pachuca and MLS sides.

    4 Monterrey 2 0 0 2 0 2 -2 0

Heads of their groups locked in semi-finals

I want Cruz Azul to win, they'd be a good representor of MEX. They would be screwed if Toluca catches fire and gets in on GD.

The reason Chivas played a bunch of 17-19 was because the star players where on rest from Copa America. They played a full squad for the remaining two games.

I will quite harping on about Superliga vs Interliga and put this topic to rest. :)

I watched futbol picante last night and in an interview with El Tuca, when asked if the 1st team players would play in the CL, if Pumas gets a ticket he stated "no van a jugar ni madres" I swear if I didn't know El Tuca was Brazilian I would have bet my life he was Mexican. He pretty much said that all the players knew that if they wanted to play in the CL then they would need to play the interliga. I think that's cool, that he is going to give the youngsters a chance to play in la libertadores....tha's IF they make it.

Yeah I saw that too, that was hilarious. Joserra, Faitelson, and Albert were cracking up, they even showed the clip twice. It caught me by surprise because I thought he was going to be a little more calm about it, but he didn't give a sh*t what his players thought about his decision to play the young guys in the Interliga and if they make it in the Libertadores.

What kind of fans throw objects at their own GK? Especially when their team is down 1-0?
