Some interesting team and player stats now that the regular season is over: LEague stats: *The Rapids finished 17th in total fouls committed, with only Portland committing less fouls. Meanwhile they were 5th in fouls suffered, Who's the thuggish team again? *Colorado was last in shots, and 15th in shots on goal, but 9th in goals. *Pickens was one of only 4 players (Keller, Hall, and Le Toux being the others) to play every minute of the season. *Larentowicz was 6th in total minutes, only missing 9 minutes total (behind LaBrocca only missing 2). Kimura was 9th, having only missed 64. *Larentowicz, Kimura, and Pickens were the only Rapids to start (and appear) in every game. *Larentowicz was 10th in away goals with 5. *Casey was 7th in goals/90 minutes with .67 *Drew Moor was tied for 3rd in yellow cards with 8. *Pickens was 5th in goals against with 41 and tied for 6th in shutouts with 8. Team stats: *Larentowicz was the golden boot winner with 7 (8 in all competitions). *Cummings led in assists with 6 *Nyassi had the most shots and shots on goal. *If you use the old "2 pts. for a goal, 1 pt. for an assist" method Larentowicz beats Nyassi for most points on the tiebreaker of goals scored 7 to 6 (Both had 15 points). *In an unexpected combo, Moor, Palguta, and Thompson tied for most game-winning goals with 2. Folan and Thompson had 2 game-winning assists. *Casey and Folan each had the lead with 4 home goals. *Of somebody who played at least half the season, Larentowicz had the highest shots on goal percentage at 48.6 (Casey and Smith were non-role players that were higher but didn't play half the minutes). *Larentowicz committed the most fouls at 45. *Surprisingly Pablo suffered the most fouls at 39 and actually suffered 11 more fouls than he committed! *Cummings led with 22 offsides.
Hey Jason... Can you update the club's w-l-draw numbers when being scored upon first? That hit me when Vancounver went ahead last weekend and Colorado rebounded for the victory with 2 goals. Thanks! Marc
Since you asked I don't remember what the numbers were once we came back to beat LA at the end of last season. Adding in this season's regular season games were were 3-3-7 (W-D-L) this year. We came back to beat Houston, San Jose, and Vancouver, all by the score of 2-1, after giving up the first goal.
