Is it just me or does there seem to be fewer real preseason matches this year (with more or less full squads; not counting the university or amateur club matches giving the reserves some practice)? Compared to last year Mito has dropped off a lot, only having 2. FC Seoul on the 10th and Kashima Antlers on the 13th. And Kashima takes place every year anyway. For other clubs, are there any new matchups which might be interesting to follow, especially international or interdivision matches that otherwise would be a rarity?
Sanfrecce is in Turkey now and will play against some lower European clubs in the upcoming days like they did last year.
FC Tokyo really can't have any interesting preseason matches with full squads since half of our starters are on NT duty
Sanfrecce will play: Dinamo Zagreb (Mikic's hometown team), Partizan Belgrade, Teplice, Budućnost Podgorica (I think), Varteks, Minyor Pernik, Korona Kielce, Red Star Belgrade (manager Petrovic's old team), Videoton Fehérvár, Napredak Kruševac. Then back to Miyazaki for a week before playing Shandong Luneng in the ACL.
And now I see newcomers Kitakyushu are playing like 500 K-League teams It seems the leagues are combining the friendlies.
Kyoto Sanga FC preseason games 2/10 vs Marinos 2/13 vs FC Tokyo 2/16 vs S-Pulse 2/19 vs a Kyushu university BTW, captain for the 2010 season will be Atsushi Yanagisawa.
Frontale-Sanga (game closed to press and fans) Top teams = 1-3 Satellites = 3-0 Total = 4-3 for Frontale
