Interesting Item in AZ Republic

    It says in the Arizona Republic that there were only 17 expulsions at US/Mexico match in Glendale, which apparently is less than they normally get for Cardinals games.

    I wonder if this is a datapoint to be used everytime the stereotype of unruly soccer fans comes up in the media here.

    Good on the fans of both the US and Mexico for playing it straight and just enjoying the match.

    There wasn't a ridiculous amount of hostility there. Yes, there were a few things, yes I had a beer thrown on me, but I think that given what could have happened, it didn't go all that terribly. Stadium security seemed to be...lacking, but overall, wasn't too terrible.
