To even suggest that Owen isn't playing well with his teammates because he's lost money to them is ludicrous at best. I need my own column so that I can make up stupid crap like this.
The "not passing the ball" comment was a bit much, but I think the idea that inter-squad gambling negatively affects team chemistry is one worth considering.
But isn't that coming from an American perspective, though? The culture of gambling in England is entirely different from the culture in America.
...and not to mention the fact that Owen is an expectant father. There's no way on earth that the impending birth of his child can't be having an affect on his life.

Doesn't mean anything. Theoretically if he was a Gunner he'd want Owen to bet as much as possible because it hurts Liverpool.
