Has kept us more competitive than not whilst rebuilding the entire squad (very early rebuilding process, imo). As of now, I'd give him a B+, personally.

Personally, I didn't think he was ready for the job when he took it.

he was good Mazzarri accomplished what Stramma did before things went down hill actually i think Strama had 1 or 2 points over Mazzarri.

He had a full squad though and very much like mazz did well in the early stages up until injury season hit(january-may) and then everything collapsed.
My only criticism of him is him not using guarin, sneijder and some other players to the best of their ability. Putting them in unfamiliar/ ineffective roles.

now mazz compared to strama, hands down mazz bro. Simply because he has given so much confidence to players who were in the fringe: jonathan, ricky, cambiasso, ranocchia, campg even(he was brought in as a reinforcement).
He has also managed to get a decent amount of points with not a whole lot at his disposal and at the same time working out as much as possible problems in our midfield/offense.

Come january though, if milito/icardi etc. are still out I suspect him asking for a player or two cause he really needs something off the bench...dare i say lavezzi...

Lavezzi cant score for shit he dribbles the ball and that it once he loses his speed he wont be any good. Stramma didnt even get to use Wesly....

nvm then we don't need more dribblers
strama used wesley as a deep playmaker after his injury & as a CM in a 5 man midfield

yeah but its sneijder, the last true ace in the hole, classic no.10 and at his prime there was no need to reinvent him into a regista or kroos like player.

    so close to victory...
great response from our guys after parma went up first and then up 2-1. A lot of heart was shown from palacio, guarin etc.
kovacic finally finished a full 90 mins and had a good game through out. Ranocchia for me had a phenomenal game vs cassano who he managed to keep quiet for good stretches of time.
ricky was the only disappointment besides handa having that slip up for parma's goal.
not happy with a draw but happy with the performance.
    FT 3-3

San Paolo has never been an easy place for us & with us not having the best of forms, a win looks dim. Luckily napoli are also not in the best of forms so we might slip one over them. Hopefully the manager's having something to prove will lighten up the atmosphere.

I dont any defender today can keep their head up.
That being said in no way can anyone say napoli was the better team, bad refereeing with ricky being sent off on a crappy hand ball call but even with 10 men we were dominating play and could have realistically scored more than once.
The rest of the team minus 1 or 2 guys played well, taider had one good set piece and that's about it. Guarin assisted twice and could have scored more than once. Cucho scoring a goal from a good play didn't have much in the gas towards the end. Palacio, good as always. I won't talk about the defense.
    Ends napoli 4-2 inter

Kovacic has to get more minutes. As soon as he came in the other players looked for him and he demanded the ball, the tempo picked up, everybody else started running harder, and they looked like they finally figured out where the goal was.

Balotelli and Muntari - what a couple of head cases.

Emotional, the stadium started getting behind the team, you can feel that we were eventually going to put that dam ball in.
For me mazz deserves some big credit because of:
not only that but mazz noticed cucho was not running and covering much and he did the right thing in swapping him out.
Guarin was a beast even though he tried too much sometimes. Best of all though...Our Defense didn't concede a goal!!! how crazy is that.

How Mazzari does not start Kovacic is beyond me. As soon as the kid came on Inter started to play football and looked so much more threatening to score.

When i watch Kovacic and Modric play together for Croatia it reminds me of the days of Boban and Prosinecki. Hopefully Mazzari figures out how to use Kovacic as the kid is so talented.

Simply because taider defends more, also kovacic is more injury prone and the club does not want to rush him since he's only 19 yrs old. In 2-3 years time though he will be up there and will be a major engine.
