Nothing earth shattering, but there's an Intel commercial out using Moby's "We Are All Stars." Nice, except Moby uses a Mac Powerbook to make his music. This reminded me of an older Intel commercial featuring the Blue Man Group, who use Power Macs to power their stage shows. No big deal, but you'd think Intel would would find artists who use their chips, or the very least, artists who don't use their direct competition, to use in their advertising.
One you should appreciate, I was in Tokyo once and saw a marching band play the Marine Corp hymn down ginza street in a parade. Yes, that would be the theme song of the guys who shot your ass. oops. Japan is great though. In that same parade was 30 guys in kilts playing bag pipes- all japanese. I was dying trying to figure out what it must be like to be the guy who ran the Tokyo bag pipe school. "Mom, Dad- I want to teach bag pipes. For a living. No $hit."
The Japanese guy/bagpipe school thing doesn't surprise me, as it is well known that Japanese people are quite mental (in a 'lovable eccentric' kind of way). Sane people don't come up with Dragon Ball Z .
Who said we didn't have a sense of irony? Or selective historical amnesia? You wouldn't happen to have any pitctures of the 30 guys in kilts, do you? That must've been quite a sight.
