Have flat foot, any kind of boot I could get?

I have what I believe the chiropractor said was a pretty bad case of flat footedness, and need to replace the insoles of any shoe I wear with a custom molded insole, otherwise I will develop back problems. I was wondering if anybody knew a type of boot that would accomodate for this, because they are all made for people with a normal arch, and also affect the performance of the player.

You need a boot that you can easily remove the insert and then replace it with an orthotic.

If you look at soccer.com, the shoe description will usually tell you if you can take out the insert (i.e. Adidas F50, Kelme Master Turf, etc.)

You can get "off the shelf" orthotics or get them custom made for your feet. Have you seen a podiatrist?

I've got some customs right now, my chiropractor ordered them for me. Thanks for the info!

If you have flat feet got see a podiatrist. My feet are as flat as you can get. Seriously, I have no arches. After seeing a podiatrist I received quality orthodics fit to order. Trust me, they help immensely.

I'm not entirely sure, but I think my chiropractor is a qualified podiatrist, too.... I live in a pretty small town, so its not like I have too many choices. All I know is that I have some custom leather orthodics that work great.

Just curious, have you gotten a new pair for your flat feet?

Not yet. I was looking around yesterday at the Adidas and Puma outlets. They've got some nice boots that I probably would have gotten if I'd had my money. I'll update when I get a pair, but right now I still need to wait for my team to be officially made (Texas school districts are run on American pointy ball football, very anti-soccer. Its sad.) and I really need to get a close look at Nike's.

I would go to an Orthopedic doctor and get it checked again...he could possibly give you custom orthotics...or just get some at a sports or drug store

Insole selection is important. Many people think that the insole needs to be soft which is incorrect. The insole just needs to have great arch support. That is the only thing that matters and will help - the arch support. I used to have the same condition and then I started using Powerstep inserts. All the pain went away. I reccomend them over almost anything else. They are only about $25 and make a world of difference. Here is the Powerstep website - http://www.powersteps.com/
