No game on TV. Instead, the closing of the Reds ball park. What crap! I might cancel my cable service over this messup. And I left a message that I might too.
I want to know why Fox Sports has the Indians game on instead of the Reds game. Warner put the Reds game on 62.
Hey now...that's my employers. It's probably your local affiliate doing that. Insight doesn't make the decision on programming.
In this case, Insight does make the decision because the only cable systems showing the match were Insight- Columbus and Time Warner - Columbus FWIW, the second half of the match was televised.
i posted in the post-game thread about something being screwed up. I was at the Arlington Cafe and they showed the entire game start to finish. Before the game they had direct tv logos on the screens showing the game, but it was sport TV's cameras.
FWIW Toon, I came home to watch the tape and was glad I'd missed the game. I thought we were supposed to pass to our guys and short quick passing would be tactically sound. This game was b0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000ringly bad. We need Harkes back to link to midfield.
I concur. However, perhaps my cable bill might be lowered after I left a very "positive" message with the cable company.
No, I'm just saying that Insight doesn't do that so instead of everybody wasting their time writing Insight they can go after Time Warner. Actually I am the tech support for broadband internet so when your cable modem doesn't work you get to call me. I hate dealing with RR customers in Columbus cause I don't have the same set of software to check their account. So to all you RoadRunner customers in Columbus... Don't call me, fix it yourself. I've got things to do like check my own e-mail and read stupid message boards like this one.
Eggy, Maybe YOU can tell me why my Time Warner broadband connection is so damned inconsistent. From one minute to the next, I go from "crawling" to "lightning fast" and then right back. I have adjusted my registry settings for optimum cable modem use, no such bloody luck.
I don't know what's up in Columbus. Everyone out there complains. I don't know how it's set up out there. I can't even get into the routers.
Hmm, random slowdowns and speed-ups on the Internet? Really? Required reading: http://cable-dsl.home.att.net/#Slowdown Especially if you fileshare on cable: http://cable-dsl.home.att.net/#Asymmetry What pissed me off was when I called Insight after going crazy and breaking stuff every time it came back from commercial to that Reds crap, was that after I navigated all the voice menus I get a helpful "We're sorry, your call cannot be handled." then a disconnect. Bah, humbug.
b/c... you are connected along with everyone else in your area that has broadband....when you are one of the only ones connected your speed is faster but when other people log in they take some of that speed from you, b/c you are all sharing that space...the worst times i have noticed are between 7-10pm in the evening... the biggest problem with rr is the fact that at first they had no clue how popular it was going to be and underestimated the amount of users that were going to sign up and share this capacity...they are slowly seeing this error and correcting it, but it is very frustrating... there have been nights in the past where it has been slower than a 56k dial-up and in that instance i have called up, bitched to customer service and been given a refund for that months cost
I'm very aware of the situation where at peak times, everyone and their mother in my 'hood is online. The thing is, at NON peak times (like 1 am), I get slow service. I'll have to think about the refund thing though
what i was told is that (after midnight) is when they do testing and routing and crap like that...hence slow downs occur. i live in a newer area of town and it seemed everynight after midnight service would shutdown or go in to a torotise speed...they told me if was b/c they were constantly added new routes and crap. bitch enough and they will give you refunds, they dont wanna lose you as a customer...
I have never given credit for slow connection. There is 100 different things thatcan contribute to slow connections although Columbus routers may be over-crowded. Andy I am reading your e-mail!!! hahahaha just kidding.
