Ok, first Robinson was going to be back for the LA game, then NE, then...

So, does anyone have any better insight into injuried Quakes:

    Ekelund - End of May?
    Conway - End of May?
    Russell - ?
    Robinson - Chicago?

I think winning may have a bit to do with their return dates......a lesson may have been learned with DeRo, I still think he wasn't ready to come back. :(

At least I want to see those guys come in as subs if they are healthy.

I hear that neither one of them will even make the trip to Chicago, but we could look for them to be ready for Columbus. That being said, with a bye week coming right after the Crew game, they could also be rested to give them an extra 11 or even 14 days to rehab.

Wasn't Pwamme coming back from a foot injury when the knee injury happened? I guess one could lead to the other...

Shouldn't Waibel be sitting this one out for caution point accumulation, or am I mislead?

seriously.....especially the way DeRo plays. His body may have been favoring the foot and trying to utilize other parts....tendons, ligaments, muscles.....and not just in that leg. A good example is when anyone whos ever had a bad leg and then their back started hurting, or worse, went out. I bet DeRo wasn't 100% and that led to the knee thing. :(

After the Galaxy game, I asked Ian Russell about when he would be back. He said he was close and may be back by the next home game, vs. Crew. Cross your fingers.

The problem is - where should Ian play?
Mullan seems to be a better candidate to be our primary right winger.

As long as the Quakes win there is no incentive to rush anyone back. This could be a good thing in the long run.

Remember, this is a team that doesn't sub much. Frank as much as said so in the sideline interview Saturday (I believe he said "I don't like to sub if I don't need to"). Frank's philosophy doesn't lead to making a substitution just because he has 3 subs to take.

That said, it would be the most ideal situation for the likes of Robinson and Russell (and eventually Ekelund) to play short minutes early on when they return.

I hope none of these players are rushed back from injury. I think that last year some players tried to come back too soon and they just aggrevated the injury and it hurt them all season. I once asked Frank about how he decided when players come back ad he says he leaves it largely up to them. I think this might be a mistake as players would tend to err on the side of coming back to soon. Sometimes you lose a whole season trying to get them back too soon

I knew it wasn't Erin because the "impersonator" thought Ian was a Fwd......Erin still thinks Ian is our Keeper. :D

Erin definitely knows that Ian is not a forward ;)
