Damani Ralph was killing the Metrostars yesterday. The goal he scored was real nice. Stength and Speed and fantastic finishing under pressure. He's also not afraid to shoot and gets some quality shots on goal. I thought he was one of the best players on the field.I know he's rookie but is he American? Cause if he is he's got loads of talent and is good enough to be on the nats.

    Damani is from Jamaica.

He's a TI at the moment.

He's been called up once for Jamaica, and should be a lock for qualifying I would assume.

Wrong. There's no info in that thread.
So he's been called into a camp, but has he been capped yet? Furthermore, would he really have a chance on the US national team?

I wonder if he has a British passport... if he keeps producing, i see him like another Stern John.

  5. True, but you know there's going to be a new Whazzup With Damani Ralph thread every time the previous Whazzup With Damani Ralph thread drifts off the first page.

  6. Damani isn't as big as John. When you've seen both in person, it's obvious. It's also obvious he's one strong guy for his size.

Um. Yes and No. In that order.

Some people are so desperate. You do realize there are ten US citizens who have been capped for the US ahead of Ralph on the MLS scoring chart?

I count 11, I think, but I wouldn't put them all in the same category of "promising young player" that Ralph is in. Especially not Preki... ;)

The thing about Ralph that impressed me was the combination of strength, speed, finishing and size. A lot of our home-grown players seem to be a little lightweight at times. Look forward to seeing what he can do against the Burn...
