Yeah, it was a pretty nice event. Along with the two players, they announced community partners. They were the Indiana National Guard and a vet job service. Also they unveiled samples of a secondary logo. The logos had ties to the 11th regiment.

I can't remember where I read/heard but there were some negotiations with a Central American national team player a couple weeks ago.
Four new players announced tonight Pedro Mendez, striker from the Silverbacks. Kyle Hyland defender played with Columbus Crew reserves last year. Don Smart, Midfielder/Forward, has experience in NPSL, PDL, and USL Pro. Chris Wey, defender/middle school teacher Also announced today that MyIndy23 is the broadcast partner of Indy Eleven. All home games will be aired and select away games.... Hopefully they decide to "select" most away games
aren't nasl games prodcast on ustream? so we should at least be able to watch away games on there. anyone know about the quality?
I found Ustream a bit spotty this year, but some of my issues were no doubt related to my fairly crappy broadband connection. It's certainly better than nothing.
Indy Eleven sign four, announce local TV deal http://www.soccerbyives.net/2013/12/eleven-announce-local.html
the mls combine list was just announced, and four of the iu seniors were invited (bushue, corrado, kotlov, petts). i wonder if Indy11 have contacted any of those guys to see about interest if they don't pan out in mls. corrado, kotlov, and petts are all indy area guys. that may entice them. do we have any idea what kind of salary nasl guys are making compared to lower tier mls guys?
A few years back the Owner (or GM) of the Railhawks commented that average [maybe he said typical] for his team was 2,700 - 3,200 per month. That is the only time I have read anything about how much they get paid.
"Players earn between $15,000 and $100,000 with most salaries below $40,000." Source: Houston Chronicle. By comparison, the article says that most MLS salaries are below $100,000.
a bit of a review...an article first published back in August http://www.indystar.com/story/sport...cers-time-in-circle-city-has-arrived/4199213/
so we're less than three months out, and we have 8 players. assuming a full roster is between 22-25 players, when does the rest of the team come together and where do they come from? are we waiting for the MLS draft to end to then start making moves? i just got an email asking for another $800 on my tickets by the end of the month, but we haven't heard anything inspiring about filling out the roster. april 12 is coming quickly.
I think they need those extra $800s to pay for the rest of the team....when is the NASL combine? I would imagine we will see a handful of those guys making the roster plus some the guys not drafted today.
I agree in the fact that we need to start hearing some other signings but I would imagine there won't be many other large name signings. At this point I suspect we will see former mls players, recently graduated college players and probably a few more internationals.
