Since there is no official Indoor Masters anymore, there now are many single tournaments. The ones with Bundesliga participation can be named here.

The start was made today with the Entrium Cup in Nuremberg. It was thought to be a Cup with all Bavarian pro teams, but Bayern did not want to take part. That way 1.FC Nürnberg was joined by 1860 Munich, Greuther Fürth, Wacker Burghausen and from outside Bavaria VfB Stuttgart and Eintracht Frankfurt.

    Semi-finals:
    Nürnberg vs 1860 2-2; 1-3 penalty shootout
Stuttgart vs Fürth 5-5; 3-4 penalty shootout

    3rd: Stuttgart

    Final: 1860 vs Fürth 5-4

Top striker: Thorsten Burkhardt (Fürth), 6 goals

    14th Lübzer Pils Cup, Schwerin:

Team: Hansa Rostock, Arminia Bielefeld, VfL Bochum, VfB Stuttgart, Eintracht Schwerin (D4), Widzew Lodz

    Semifinals:
    Bielefeld vs Bochum 5-2
    Lodz vs Rostock 1-2

    3. Lodz

    Final:
    Bielefeld vs Rostock 2-5

Top strikers: Kevin Hansen (Rostock), Artur Wichniarek (Bielefeld), Erhan Albayrak (Bielefeld) 5 goals

On a side note, Stuttgart had trouble to get to Schwerin due to the weather conditions. They wanted to fly this morning from Nuremberg after yesterday’s indoor cup, but when they were in the air, the authorities decided to close the local airport near Schwerin. The pilot flew to Rostock, which is about 50 miles away. From there the whole team drove to the arena in a taxi convoy and arrived short before the first kick-off.

Olaf, thanks for this. I always wondered about the German Masters and the indoor tournaments they had during the winter break.

Do you know of any websites that may be covering the indoor tournaments? It's hard to find info for this non-Deutche speaker.

I don't think that there is a specific site covering the indoor games - at least I don't know any. There might be the single clubs covering their games, or the organiser having a special page.

Tomorrow's Indoor Cup in Hannover is covered on www.oddsetcup.de

Taking part from 6.30 till about 11 p.m. CET, are Hannover 96, VfL Wolfsburg, Eintracht Braunschweig, VfL Osnabrück, SV Meppen, VfB Oldenburg, SV Wilhelmshaven and Arminia Hannover.

From 5.30 there'll be an Indoor Cup in Kiel with Werder Bremen, VfB Lübeck, Hamburger SV, Holstein Kiel, FC St Pauli and Arminia Bielefeld. This tournament probably won't be covered in the Internet as it is live on free TV

    Hasseröder Cup, Kiel

Taking part: Werder Bremen, Hamburger SV, VfB Lübeck, Arminia Bielefeld, FC St. Pauli, Holstein Kiel (D3)

    Semifinals:
    Hamburg vs Kiel 3-4
    Bielefeld vs Lübeck 5-4

    3. Lübeck

    Final:
Kiel vs Bielefeld 2-2, 1-2 penalty shootout
One minute before the end of the final Bielefeld led 2-0 and already before missed plenty of chances to shoot Kiel out of the arena. Also a funny penalty shootout: just one of the first five scored – and this by hitting the post, from their to the back of the goalie and from there into the goal.

Top striker: Ferydoon Zandi (Lübeck) and Dimitrios Guscinas (Kiel) 5 goals

    Hasseröder Cup, Bielefeld

Taking part: Arminia Bielefeld, Eintracht Frankfurt, VfL Osnabrück, Werder Bremen, VfL Bochum, Widzew Lodz

    Semifinals:
Frankfurt vs Bremen 4-4, 3-4 ps
Lodz vs Osnabrück 3-3, 2-0 ps

    3. Frankfurt

    Final:
    Bremen vs Lodz 6-3

Top scorer: Pavel Kryszalowicz (Frankfurt), Addy Waku Menga (Osnabrück) 5 goals

Funny note: Bielefeld proved to be a good indoor team in the last days, but at home they already dropped in the group stage - and this although they put themselves into a group with a D2 and a D3 team, while the other group consisted of D1 teams only.

It’s now an indoor tournament break until Friday.

No team dressed an US player btw, while Canadian Paul Stalteri is in Bremen’s indoor roster (scored one goal in the final today)
