Today in the 107th birthday of the club, it was made official the return of the player who was the captain of the team that won the last league title for the club. Gabriel "El Mariscal" Milito returned to Independiente.
Looking better for los Diablos. Different game this second half. Perreira is all over the place, the Inter midfield stifled thus far. Wow, how did Independiente not score on those 2 chances!
What a sorry state of a team los diablos are in , the announcers were correct; " que ganas de llorar" .... LOL
Just to brush up on some current news for you guys http://www.chicagotribune.com/sport...tina-militobre85b1gj-20120612,0,6783493.story
How do you figure? http://tn.com.ar/deportes/after-play/asi-entro-la-12-a-la-cancha-de-independiente_268772
I really hope without any belief in it happening that Moyanos thugs are thrown out. Whatever about onfield the president has been a beacon for his treatment of the barras
I heard a story that a some of the real socios had hung a large sign asking Cantero to resign, and when the incidents happened they quickly took the sign down. Maybe they are starting to see the bigger picture. It's easy to say not being a fan of Independiente, but I hope Cantero stays and keeps fighting against this. It's bigger and more important even than going to la B, and he's the only one so far in our futbol who has the 'huevos' to do it.
Totally agree Cantero for me is showing Passarella what he should be doing in River and the others too.Even Velez bow to the barras. River went through relegation and enough socios stuck with the president and I hope the same happens with Independiente. They will have to win promotion immediately of course and for them the pressure will be enormous but futbol in Argentina needs a powerful Independiente and I hope they return and others follow Canteros example
Cantero needs to stick this out. Independiente is a complete mess but the bravas need to be sorted out. Cantero needs to be supported but is the political support for him there to eradicate this cancer from Argentine football ?
I have no love for Independiente but the worst thing that could possibly happen to Argentine football (and to a lesser extent, society in general) would be if Cantero is replaced by someone who bows down to the barras.
He got a surprising raised for a time (from mid 2013 to mid 2015) where he had a high level of play, more for his effort than by innate talent (even he was summoned by Martino, the coach of the national team, to play two friendly matches, and made a great goal in the first one). In the last six months he had a relapse in his game, in part because of some injuries. I hope that recover his playing level of his best moment, or, at least, close to it.
