We've been watching you guys from afar and can't believe what you've been able to accomplish for the Union this year. The atmosphere is awesome, and it's something that we need. We love the fans that come to our game- they’re incredible- but you guys as a group take it to a whole different level. The Independence is in second place in the league, pushing into our final stretch of the season, and we want the support of the most passionate soccer fans in the country behind us! We honestly believe that having the Sons of Ben support can help propel the team through the playoffs into the WPS finals...we know how much of a difference that kind of atmosphere can make. Next Independence game is the 8th of August, televised on FSC after the Union game, we want you guys there-we’re dedicating the far side of the stadium (the side shown on TV!) to the Sons of Ben and we have a set number of SoB comp’d tickets put aside. We hope you take advantage...https://independencetix.ticketleap.com/100808-boston-breakers-supporters-section/t/BigSoccer. We’ll be at the SoB tailgates with Independence players at the upcoming Union games- we want you guys on board and we’ll show the same passion that you show in supporting the Union!!

I'll go. I've been to a few of their games this season. I love soccer and was a big charge fan a few years back. I've enjoyed the games, they have a great team. Their star player Amy Rodriguez (A-Rod) is on a real scoring streak. There are some fans that try to get others involved in make noise, but I think with a our support their fans might see how much fun we have, and how it adds to the atmosphere. The team could really use the support.

are you sure that our chanting won't turn off your core audience? You know, the one calling you the Cheesesteaks and thanking you for making their daughter's night?

Because most of us while sensitive to the issue, aren't exactly kid-friendly, well except for that one guy, but Megan's Law takes care of that. ;)

Count me in. I'd like to get tickets for my brother and niece for this too. There are several bars on Gay St. that will show the Union game I'm pretty sure.

didn't we get a fan group started for the independence that didn't quite get approved of by the team?

    Yeah, daughters of betsy, right?

West Chester university, huh. About the same commute for me. I'd be game if I could convince my wife to let me go to yet another game.

And another question -- which songs would we sing, which could we modify, and which would be tough to adapt to "Independence?" I suppose Phil-A-Del-phia could be adapted to In-Deh-Pen-Dance (clap clap clapclapclap)

But it's not like we'd sing four leaf clover there, or would we?

Glad to see SOB on board for the Independence game on August 8th! We hope SOB are in full force at the game. The Independence players, coaches, and fans are excited to see such passionate soccer fans at the game. There are a ton of bars in West Chester to watch the Union game and there is plenty of room at West Chester to have a great tailgate. Spread the word and feel free to repost to SOB members that free tickets are being offered to show FSC the best fans in the country...Philly Fans!

I heard that people have spotted Le Toux at Independence games. Wonder if he could be convinced to come stand with the Sons of Ben for a half or something. That would grant him immediate legend status I think.

I started a thread for that in the Independence forum, but it never really generated too much quality response.

I say we can use most of the Union songs and say Philly instead of Union to keep the syllables right.
