If Matt Law is reporting it, it's most likely reliable. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2017/07/19/alvaro-morata-verge-completing-chelsea-move/
to be fair, Danilo is a good option for both City and Chelsea. he can add depth to both the right and left wingback positions. he's versatile enough to be worth the cost. he'd do the same for us, though probably be a starter.
nice, let's get these deals done and move forward. not giving up on Danilo quite yet either. but locking down Morata would be incredibly important.
I normally watch skills videos for the music, but I'm impressed with his skill for a pretty tall guy. I like the physicality and willingness to shoot. He has skill, for sure. Making it onto the pitch for Juve and Madrid are no small feats. I hope we sign him and he does well for us. We know Conte likes him. Shaving his head was maybe the best decision he's made this summer. Coming to Chelsea will be close to that.
A welcome relief. A serious signing and a player Conte wanted in summer of 2016. http://metro.co.uk/2016/06/17/chels...nte-maintaining-contact-with-forward-5951545/ More signings will come, be sure of it my Chelsea friends.
wow, that was quite the movement today. didn't expect it to be done so quickly after the rumors picked up. though i assume we've basically had some form of contact going for a while now. i'm also suprised we've announced without agreeing personal terms and completing medical, as it says in the official release. we've only technically announced the agreement between the clubs.
We should sell him to Atletico and then have them loan him back to us for 6 months to play for the reserves.
According to Balague, Morata was Conte's choice while Lukaku was Emenalo's. So it may well be that we didn't "lose out" on Lukaku, at least in Conte's mind. Given the way Costa plays, this doesn't surprise me - Costa did a lot of link up play for us, which Lukaku struggles with. Either way, I think this should settle a lot of nerves here. Knock on wood, let's hope this Spanish* striker is better than the predecessor *For some reason wrote Italian. No idea why.
Glad Morata is ours. I'm bummed about Danilo we need an improvement to Moses there badly. Thought he was ours. Wonder where we will turn next...
Heard the same. Rudiger, Bakayoko, Morata is a hell of a ********ing window for a club who is having a crappy window.
You guys will not regret this purchase. Madrid fans have high expectations for him. I'm expecting at least a quarter final appearance in the CL next year for you.
did i miss a joke regarding italian? or am i being the mean guy pointing out small pointless corrections? spanish? to bring it full circle, i agree, i'm hoping that Morata's style suits conte's team better. i think it will, but we'll have to see. at the very least i'm glad we have the position figured out and we can move on to furthering the rest of the business the club thinks we need to finish.
