sounds like city is in for Jorginho as well? if that's the case we shouldn't be giving up on Seri.

also rumors that city are inquiring about Kovacic. City and Chelsea seem to have many of the same targets, and that race usually only ends with one winner.

The Kovacic rumors to Citeh are also saying Jorginho is no longer an option. So Kovacic is their contingency plan.

honestly i'd take any of those 3 players though. and would like to bring back RLC to basically be the first backup to our midfield and give him plenty of subs and cups etc. really i'd like to see a 3 man midfield with maybe Kante, a new B2B and RLC at times.

are we thinking that implies that we are getting Jorginho? or just that we will miss out on both :D:(

No idea. The rumors for Jorginho to us are strong. But we've seen how that goes. It all comes down to Sarri IMO. We get him, we probably get Jorginho.

I think we go with a 433 under a new manager assuming we strengthen and get some wings because I'm convinced Hazard leaves. Only thing in our favor is Mbappe and our window being different.

And I 100% agree with you. I want Kante to stay at all costs. To play with RLC and a new mid.

i wouldn't trust the english media either. i would however trust Roy Hodgeson and my own eyes. not saying it's a guarantee but it never is. RLC, though, is as deserving of a shot as any youth product we've had from what i've seen. he had some phenomenal play at palace last year, both in and out of position.

Looks like the Napoli owner is confirming Sarri and Jorginho are on their way here. Jorg will be one of our most expensive signings ever.

Two more to come? I was excited about Golovin more than Seri, but I haven't heard anything about that lately. Or Higuain (blah).

In that setup RLC has to be the box to box midfielder.

This has been handled so badly. Feel for Conte here.

Maybe Chelsea are doing to him what he did to Costa?

    Just more under the table.

Costa wanted out since the day he came in. Different situations.

Courtois also wants out and despite his shot stopping ability, I wouldn't mind seeing him go if we had a decent replacement.

Don’t know Jorginho. Is he worth it?

I don't think any of these players are worth the prices are paid. But in today's market - I guess so. He only has good experience with Napoli.

I fear he will be another Bakayoko and Sarri will be a dismal failure. Again, I don't understand why Sarri will be rewarded with players when he hasn't ever won jackity shit in his career.

That's my biggest worry at this point, even more so than losing Hazard. If Courtois goes, Caballero absolutely should not be his replacement.

fortunately, i don't think the club are thinking about promoting Caballero. Alisson seems to be the hot prospect. either Madrid get Courtois or Alisson and if we sell Courtois we'll be in for Alisson. that's what i understand at least.

jorginho is good from what i've seen. has fabregas like passing abilities but much more mobile. doesn't seem like a goal scorer, but would add some class to the midfield.

Jorginho plays deeper than Fabregas - he's much more of a Thiago/Xavi player than Cesc, who at his best was more of a #10. They are both very good passers and yes, Jorginho is considerably more mobile, although he's not a DM.

Guys, take it easy. That's clearly not going to happen. I know it's been a weird summer so far, but it's also a World Cup year and it's still July 11th. There's still a lot of time!
