if you guys didn't notice last night, were those paper airplanes more annoying that those horns. I was hit with them about 5 times, so then i turned around and screamed at the 13 year old who kept on giggling everytime he hit me. Who else found it an incovienience? and BAN THEM HORNS!!!!!!!!!
yea...those paper airplanes are not a good idea. i didnt really notice the horns this game, but i hated them last year and im sure i will again soon
THe horns are the only thing in the world that make me want to commit mass murder on children. But knowing the inefficient beaurocracy of everything Giants Stadium/ Metros related, I KNOW they will NEVER be banned. I hope if we ever get a new stadium that no horns are allowed, and that really crazy crap like flares are, so we can make it a really uncomforttable place for opponents to play at. Maybe something like this: http://www.antu.com/images/fotograf_galerisi/taraftar/taraftar_03/008.jpg Ugh, but I guess we are stuck with the crappy crowd full of little kids (they are the future fans after all, but its such a tame experience as it is). yeah I went off topic a bit.
Oh that inconvieniece. I thought your talking about not parking near Gate C because the dumb ass MEadowlands security decided to let that be the overflow lot for the Nets game. For how many like about 10 cars.
I had some kids by me throwing paper airplanes at the sideline ref. Although I'm not a big fan of ref's and often throw obsenities... I made the kids stop by offering to throw them at the ref.
oh i dunno...I hate the fact streamers are not allowed "because of the new turf". Confetti I can see(can't get the tiny paper outta the "grass" fibers), however paper streamers is downright funny. It's ok though. We have an inside source at the local Weis who gets us rolls of produce stickers, that not only look good in the air, they reach the field everytime. I hope they have fun pulling stickers off that grass. It could easily be avoided by simply letting real streamers in...streamers that cause absolutely NO damage to the surface. But oh well, the nazi's will learn the hard way. I in no way figure anyone cares about this, but it's my little personal hatred of security + NJSEA.
This is just another reason that adds up to the whole "experience" that makes people not want to come back. See its not just the play on the field.
When I saw the title of the thread, I thought it was going to be about the concession stands. I waited in line for a few minutes at halftime and when it hardly moved, I went back to my seat. I don't know what was slower....the concession workers or the game. There were like only 4 people working at the one concession I was at (and one of them was in the back eating a hot dog).
"Because I said so," according to the friendly helpful security guard that took away my entire plastic bag of large, easy-to-get-out cut-up pieces of newspaper. Gotta love the NJSEA. You reckon if we made a "F00k NJSEA" banner we could get it inside?
On behalf of the refs (who I spent time with afterwards), thank you for stopping those kids. Oh, and they seemed to enjoy the atmosphere created by the horns.......
I loathe the horns. But I know they'll never get rid of them. It must cost, what, 5 cents to manufacture them, and they sell them for what, 5 dollars? I think we need to establish a horn section. Section 301, or something.
