Just quit my job at Legal Seafoods because they wouldn't let me work part-time during school. Was still way better than Bertucci's though.
I'm telling you, it happens every where. I've waitered at shit chain restaurants and I've waitered at $100 entree Steakhouses. You get the SAME people.
Nothing better than people, during economically slow times, thinking it is still ok to go out and eat if you cannot afford to tip properly. No it is fine, you save your money, be an asshole, and Ill suffer even moreso. If you can't afford it, stay the ******** home.
LOL, there was an article in a Pittsburgh newspaper recently about people here's lack of tipping and the response they got was essentially: "F--k waiters! I wish I got tipped for simply doing my job." I wanted to strangle every freaking person. It's amazing, truly stunning, how few people realize that waiters make somewhere around $2.50 an hour. Pittsburgh's got some cheap ass mofo's.
Ill take it to a lighter note. Which characters did you use most often in Mortal Combat and Street Fighter 2? I wanted to use Lui Kang but his fatality sucked, so I went with Scorpion: "TOasty!" and Raiden. Anytime I wanted some cool heart action though, Kano as a beast. On Street Fighter 2, Ryu all the way, maybe a little Guile in the beginning and anyone would could properly use Dhalsim, was so annoying to fight.
The very rare times that I actually have played I've used quite a few but I remember Ryu, Ken and that big millitary guy in Street Fighter 2. I think I've played Mortal Kombat like once. I used Sub Zero IIRC
always played with Johny Cage in the 1st one and Subzero in all others. Still, Street Fighter is the best fighting game ever. Go Ryu.
I used Sub Zero and Scorpion a lot but I loved using Reptile. (EDIT: Should also had that I used Human Smoke a lot) Street Fighter I rarely played. Anyone had a Genesis or SNES growing up? Had a Genesis and loved playing the Sonic games. SEGA always has the coolest stuff. Still have a Dreamcast too.
I was always a Raiden fan in MK. I was also the owner of the worlds crappest game pad on snes so the only special moves I could pull off were guile's. On the plus side I always used to kick e Honda's butt. Fat bastard.
I'm in Dallas until Saturday afternoon because of work. Will be busy all day everyday - no football for me this week!!!! Will have to download games and watch them when-the-fuck-ever I get a chance!
Dallas sucks. No really. I just downloaded the new Ben Folds album from iTunes. It gets released at 1am of the on sale date with iTunes. I am not going to bed until I listen to the whole thing.
Og I sucked at fighting games, always been a sports guy too, MK and SF2 were the last fighting games I got into, and that was like 14 years ago. I had SNES, my best friend had Sega it worked out well. Ecco the Dolphin, hardest game I ever played. I thought Sega did have very cool stuff but also a lot of shit. SNES was a surer thing for games, iMO. My system history: Atari(more my dad than me), NES, Gameboy, SNES, PS1, PS2, Wii. Not much into games anymore so getting a PS3 or 360(would never buy that) didnt seem like a good idea. My sister and her husband and their large group of gaming friends have Wiis and my girlfriend loved it, so we got that, less serious, more fun.
I agree. That was also the best game for Super Nintendo. The best Nintendo game was Metroid. For those of you into fighting games, how did you all like Killer Instinct?
My system history: Atari 2600 (loved Demon Attack) VIC 20 (um, crap really) C 64 (so many classics) Amiga 600 (the computer I'd take to my grave - Wings, Championship Manager, Sensible Soccer, etc etc etc etc etc) Game Gear (Joe Montana Football was great) SNES (SF2, Bomberman) N64 (Goldeneye - hours a week throughout university) X-box (Madden) Wii (Star Wars Lego)
Goldeneye? Was that game split screen? I still don't know how people can play such games. For Sega, it's all about Golden Axe.
GoldenEye was a legendary game. When KDB and I lived together it was a Friday/Saturday night tradition along with some beer.
Anyone else pick up the new Ben Folds? I am not sure what I think of it yet. Not as catchy as past albums. I like the first song and the one that was on the radio. A few others are good. I'll give a track by track breakdown tonight.
