So now you’re at the playing dumb stage?

Yes, they repeatedly spread rumors and lied about what is happening in the community, which has so far led to bomb threats to several schools and city buildings. This is known as stochastic terrorism. Feel free to look it up, but here’s a summary (per Wikipedia):

Stochastic terrorism is political violence that has been instigated by hostile public rhetoric which has been directed at a group or individual…. stochastic terrorism is accomplished by using indirect, vague, or coded language that allows the instigator to plausibly disclaim responsibility for the resulting violence.

Sometimes it's hard to tell if a guy is gay or not. But it's pretty obvious when someone is struggling with their sexuality ;)

So like Republicans are all racist, fascist, misogynist, homophobic and then someone tries to assassinate their candidate; would that be an example?

You mean the registered Republican? We both know that if he that wasn’t you and other Rs would have been screaming from the rooftops about it.

As far as your assessment of Republicans goes, you said it, not me.

And that said, best of luck to you. Someone else can deal with you angry ignorance.

I'm not angry. I'm asking why the double standard is okay and why are you upset? Everyone in this country has been labeled at one point. White Supremacist, Nazis, clinging to their guns and religion, basket of deplorables, vaccine deniers .... It's a long list. But now you want to speak out because of what's right and wrong or for political points?

This is not a "both sides do it". Republican politicians repeatedly doing it by lying about specific minority groups using a national pulpit is not the same thing as Big Soccer posters identifying who is supporting those lying Republican politicians or how those politicians and various supporters are aligned with certain unsavory groups.

And since you are always pointing out when we take something out of context, you might want to double check what Hillary actually said when using "basket of deplorables".

You and your ilk don’t inhabit our reality. It’s kind of like if you lived in a world where math is based on 16 but for us is based on 10. The math doesn’t translate.

Your political opinions don’t translate to our world because you (likely pretend to, because you’re very, very troll-y) live on Bullshit Mountain.

It’s not the biggest thing that pisses me off about the drive by trolls, but yeah, it pisses me off that they’re so lazy.

LOL at me being upset. I’m actually going to enjoy my day. It’s a beautiful world out there when you don’t live your life based on an alternate reality focused on hate.

I think you grossly misunderstand base logic.

Aside from fun tricks, if it works in base 10, but not base 16, then it isn’t robust math. The logic shouldn’t fail based on when you decide to draw an arbitrary line.

I prefer the base 20 of the Mayans, especially as they used only 3 symbols in their math: a dot (=1), a bar (=5) and a shell (=20). I have lots of fun with my already math-phobic students when I have them do some Mayan math for fun. :devilish:

We had a module in 6th grade on base 12 math. So very cool. Two kids in my class who had really hated math were energized by that module and math became fun for them, and consequently they got pretty good at it.

Same thing happened in geometry. We had a chapter at the end of the book on non-Euclidian geometry -- for any point and a line in a plane, there are infinite of number of lines connecting the point and line that form right angles -- only the teacher dusted that off the week before Christmas. Two or three guys in my class who were struggling were similarly rejuvenated and ended up completing calculus. One guy ended up becoming an materials engineer.

If you don't like math, or aren't good at it, school becomes a drudge as you do math every. frickin'. day. A hard reset can be useful.

    ????

8+5=13 in our world. For that guy, 8+5=d (given the normal rendering of 10-15 as a, b, c, etc.)

    That’s what I meant. I wasn’t getting that deep.
