Did this weirdo change his name from Bowman to Vance because of an abusive father or a US Marshall's warrant or some other legit reason? Or was it just because he thought it sounded cooler?

 

Oh, I'm way past that; that's a lesson for one's late 20's. The other stuff is so much more important...

 

I mean, yeah the name change thing is weird, but with regard to his last name, his Dad's last name is Bowman. Parents divorced, step father (last name Hamel) adopted him so I'm guessing he changed his name to that. Not sure why he changed his middle name to David, or decided to wait until his wedding day to chance his last name to Vance (his Mom's last name)

Actually, if the way you describe it is accurate, it's not weird at all. I probably would've done the same thing.

 

The middle name is the odd one. It's not like it changed his initials at all.
