Surprise to who. The states that are out west with more cows than people and the top of the Northeast with more fishing boats than people.

 

I was looking a few months ago at a national map by county which gave the highest percentage of domesticated animal (humans included) in the county. Most were chickens, but one Alabama county's largest population was quail. There's a quail reserve in Chilton County.

There was another national map by county showing where people descended from, but most of the White people in my neighboring counties answered "America" (which should never have been an option, because stupid people were going to choose stupid answers).

I remember seeing this and being in disbelief for many reasons. Mainly because as a teenager who did two sports, I never ate that much. I don't think any of my swimmer friends ate that much. I also remember that CNN story covering a family of nine who couldn't even get the price of milk right. The story was just bad all around and the authors of that piece doubled down on it.

I'm convinced that all the complaints about costs under Biden were people living above their means and not doing anything to fix that. Then again, I've never used DoorDash mainly because of the cost*and the only food delivery I've received was pizza.
