I remember an old comic strip that compared science and "creation science". The panel for science had the scientist saying something along the lines of "here are the facts, what conclusions can we draw from them?", while the panel on "creation science" had the creationist pointing to the Bible saying: "here are the facts, now how can we make the evidence fit them?".

The latter is precisely what RFK and co are doing.
