One of the oddities is how many and how hard Never Trumpers have become woke like this. I check out a lot of their content and it’s definitely a theme. 1853426416764760395 is not a valid tweet id
We don’t really know anything about Trump’s policies, not really, because they change day to day. 1853525316053950827 is not a valid tweet id
@Auriaprottu here’s another piece of evidence that Trump’s strategy isn’t to get to 270, but to win after that. 1853505775152595322 is not a valid tweet id

Given his dad wants to be a whale psychiatrist, it's hard to imagine how he could have turned out anything other than what he's like.
It was very generic. Did not speak directly to Mormons, but to faith in general. Will not move any voters.
Y’all remember dissecting what Trump meant about Liz Cheney having 9 rifles pointed at her face? The bottom tweet 1853612098502135839 is not a valid tweet id

What could she say directly to Mormons? She’s not a believer. It would probably sound presumptuous. Anyway, the fact that she responded and Trump did not might move a few fence sitters. Even if only 2%, that’s 8000 voters, which is close to the 2020 difference between Biden and Trump in Arizona.
Oh man more Atlas follies please know that it was 11% in 2020, a weeeee bit more than their crosstabs. 1853608536661443009 is not a valid tweet id
There are numerous Mormon-specific doctrines and even speech by its top leaders in fairly recent history she could have made token reference to, that would have made it somewhat personal. She could have spoken directly to Mormon women as well, who are getting fairly browbeat for asserting their importance and individuality. Mormons have a pretty distinct church-speak. Using any of the tried and true lines would at least resonate, instead of a boilerplate Christian message. @Sounders78 could have drunk-crafted a better response. If the hope is to move anyone who reads the deseret news (not very many persuadable readers there), this would not do it. Trump’s non-response won’t even register.
I think saying anything positive about immigration might help with Mormons, but hurt her just about everywhere else.
