Obviously suffering from onset of serious dementia if he can't remember that guy. NYT and WaPo should do 50 stories about his mental state.

I'm missing something. Your link doesn't say anything about Jewish or LGBTQ people. The US cannot support Palestine for fear of being labeled anti-Semitic. If Arab-Americans don't understand that, they're stupid indeed.

Bibles slathered in pork grease at that.

Arab-Americans don't seem to understand that as non-Asian POCs, they don't have the luxury of demanding anything from public officials. They need to be glad that anyone at all is in our corner, given America's ongoing struggles with racial downpunching.

She's dumb. Wants a pony she isn't going to get, and is willing to risk everyone else's life voting third party. Most Black folks, OTOH, are reared knowing we will die before things are made right, and we vote for the party least likely to do something that will set us back even more.

I would happily vote for him.
I could see him as a Sec of State in a Harris administration.

No, he won't for multiple reasons. Just off the top of my head:

    1. He's gay
    2. Democrats have a deep field that would run after Kamala's done
    3. He's gay
    4. So far his experience consists of being a mayor of a smallish city and being Sec of Transportation
    5. He's gay

1,3,and 5 will go away by then-- pretty nearly everybody who wouldn't vote for him because gay won't vote for him because democrat, because progressive, because science believer. There are almost no votes accessible to Democrats that will reject him out of bigotry. Non-factor.

    2. Just means he'll get a pretty good running mate; he's better than they are and will win the primary campaign.

    4. Is a bit of a sticking point-- but there's plenty of time to fix it. Four years in a bigger Cabinet job and four in the Senate and his resume will look as good as half the nominees in history.

Or even eight in the Senate-- he's got Democratic Whip written all over him.

It will only become a non-factor once Christianity and Islam are in the dustbins of history.

Just my opinion but by 2036 or whenever I don’t think being gay will matter that much anymore. There are what, three gay governors already?

2008 was the big breakthrough, IMO.

    Islam?

Are you expecting millions of Muslims to come crashing through the US borders, demanding their right to vote?

Are you expecting Bible beatin' scripture misreading Christians to ever vote Democratic or progressive again? If we can't get those votes anyway, why would we ever make decisions out of fear of them?

Further in the thread, the OP posts another tweet (See below) about Muslims going conservative. because of LGBTQ. I've mentioned before that the mayor of Hamtramck has been rather friendly with Michael Flynn along with groups like Moms for Liberty trying to make inroads. That, and they've been attempting the book banning thing too. People miss a lot of things when it comes to Palestine, mainly because it's a good smokescreen to conceal a lot.

What bugs me is that a lot of the people commenting on it, media and in general (like here), don't understand Michigan or Detroit, or Arab Americans, or the populace. People thinking them going GOP (or 3rd party) due to Gaza is quite frankly hilarious and misguided.

    Sofa Lauren.

Senate terms are 6 years. ;)

Wait till conservatives put the 10 Commandments in school (wait, already doing that in LA), force school prayer, declare this a "Christian Nation" and their kids are exposed to the Bible because it is now required reading for 1st grade, 2nd grade, 3rd grade, 4th grade, 5th grade, 6th grade. 7th grade, 8th grade and throughout high school.

    And?

Oh, I see--you can't imagine someone running as a sitting senator...

    I can, however.

I’m quite certain that’s never been done before. There’s something in the constitution about it not being legal.

Sure. You simply used 4 and 8 rather than 6 and 12. Whatever narrative you want to add to your numbers...well, I am cool with that.
