It's definitely strange that if he is only raising concerns of ordinary americans, why he has to lie about things that are not happening.
Actually, they aren't concerns of "ordinary Americans." He has created a vision of an alternative America that only he can fix -- these "ordinary Americans" go about their daily lives and probably never really give a thought to most of the stuff he rambles on about -- but it is all magnified by the RW media that these people watch, and they have been radicalized to believe the country is coming apart -- even if they don't see it in their daily lives.
Are kidding me this is a guy that lives in the Southern Suburbs and works in the Northern suburbs. He wouldn't be caught dead in the city limits except for when one of the big 4 teams plays.
I came across a low key example of this recently where the national discourse got big mad about a traffic calming hump that had cost $500K to make and everyone lost their minds in terms of wokerati ruining the lives of the average commuter. But then the real story was these things cost on average < $10K and local residents like them. This was an unusual example where they'd been a lot of issues. So like you say, the government radicalised consumers nationally, about a plot that isn't happening. And as you say, almost none of them will ever see the traffic calming hump in question. Insane
You even type as a German speaking English now. We call it a speed bump, but only the Germans would call it by its purpose a traffic calming hump.
Americans call them speed bumps, they signs generally say "humps" in the other English-speaking countries I spend time in. Never heard "traffic calming humps" though.
Germans speak like an army person speaks if you follow me. The vehicle that the Army uses to patrol in the desert is called a dpv, desert Patrol vehicle. The purpose of the hump is to calm traffic and slow things down therefore it must be called a traffic calming hump. It can be called the speed hump because you want people to slow down but does not define the true purpose of the hump.
