She is from my town of Nashville. Went to the same private high school as Reese Witherspoon (different years) and has the prototypical entitled insufferable persona a stereotypical person from that background might have (Most of the kids I've met from this school are pretty great, though.).

Essentially, while swimming at Kentucky, she tied with Leah Thomas for 5th at the NCAA championships. Officials gave Thomas her medal there and mailed Gaines' later, so she's been on a rampage ever since about trans athletes to avenge her injustice. She's become the type of grifter our city has magically attracted, for some reason (Candace Owens, Ben Shapiro, Tomi Lahren, most notably. They live in the suburbs once they discover Nashville proper is a pocket of solid blue in the red ocean of Tennessee. They were probably misled by the gerrymandering of the city into three parts so small town Republicans can represent the largest metro area in the state.). The irony is she owes her fame and fortune in this racket to the person she despises the most, Thomas, whom she is now suing (and the NCAA).

But, you can find her on social media and right wing networks spewing the most vicious and noxious bile in the manner you might expect a spoiled brat lashing out at the world who didn't give her exactly she wants. As you might be able to tell from the length of this response, I deem her to be a particularly loathsome person and the sort of individual who really grates on me.
