The Republican Party and the msm is up against a powerful, unified Democratic Party and they have no fucking clue how to handle it.— Rod Green (@thetheRedundant) August 7, 2024
Reminder that a lot of polls were predicting red waves. Of course, it isn't 2004 anymore. This headline from Election Night 2022 is as good a characterization of the results we're seeing tonight out of Washington state as any other: https://t.co/xINr46iGog pic.twitter.com/weAuMnQDz4— Washington Primary Evangelist #BlorthCarolina 🌉 (@schlagteslinks) August 7, 2024
A good response to a right wing talking point Unearthed audio: Trump tells Tim Walz in 2020 he is “very happy” with his handling of George Floyd protests: “I fully agree with the way he handled it... [Tim Walz is an] excellent guy”(Trump is now trying to criticize Walz over the same issue) pic.twitter.com/5Ii1EhBZo4— Kamala HQ (@KamalaHQ) August 7, 2024

You know what? Good. Palestine supporters are awful and don't bring anything. 1821400680361291841 is not a valid tweet id
I'll point out again that Arab-Americans really want an excuse to hate Jewish people and LGBTQ people. See Hamtramck. People get big mad when you point out that there was a big shift among Muslim and Arab American voters in Michigan towards Republicans in 2022, before there was anything to do with Gaza. But that shift happened. https://t.co/bvTlZTG9YP pic.twitter.com/94eQEZuwPY— The Biden Accomplishments Guy (@What46HasDone) August 8, 2024
Isn't the Presidential candidate for the GOP the one that said we are a Christian nation and would require people to take a Christianity test for government jobs? Dems will let Muslims be Muslims. Republicans are going to be shoving Bibles down their throats while trying to convert their kids with 10 Commandment posters all over their schools. This is worse than Latinos for Trump.
A friend of mine is getting in a back-and-forth with this Arab American lawyer in Chicago who is announcing her vote for Jill Stein ....This is beyond myopic. Those people are seriously stupid. If you claim the moral high ground yet have no problem voting for someone who for years has served as the stooge for Putin, a man responsible for hundreds of thousands of deaths in Ukraine, Syria (incl thousands of Palestinians), Mali, CAR, etc, you don’t deserve to be won over. pic.twitter.com/W6s520MrYM— Michael Deibert (@michaelcdeibert) August 8, 2024
Laura Loca is very concerned...... Let’s just call it like it is. Trumps strongest allies and biggest donors are all concerned. They see no ground game. Zero calls for accountability from @HouseGOP who is on vacation till September 9th.Trump was shot less than a month ago and nobody is even talking about… https://t.co/aEL4aX6geM— Laura Loomer (@LauraLoomer) August 8, 2024
Geeze, Laura, they made a bobble head of wounded Trump. I'd say that was sufficient for his wounded earlobe.
Since President Biden announced he will not be running for re-election and endorsed his vice president, Kamala Harris to replace him, the corporate media have lost interest in the candidates’ ages. Size envy: From #Strongmen: Toward the end of his time in power, Mussolini had to bus in "cheering crowds" for his speeches so newsreels could be made about him still being popular. Autocrats are obsessed with optics; thus the focus on crowds. https://t.co/lvR8N6DVt5— Ruth Ben-Ghiat (@ruthbenghiat) August 8, 2024
There's a reason why I've never been been trusting of the pro-Palestine movement, even when I was exposed to it in college. Unsurprisingly, the protestors were students at University of Michigan That, and I always scoffed at media and people online thinking the Arab-American vote is that significant in Michigan. It's not. There's a sizeable population, yes, and there's two cities where they're the majority. However: We're a state with a population of 10 million people, with a city that has a metro population of 4 million. They weren't voting for Whitmer and she won by double digits. They voted overwhelmingly for W Bush and he lost Michigan in 2000. Or that they know Arab Americans. Plenty of them are conservative, even the younger ones (I know a few that like Joe Rogan for instance). So it always makes me laugh when people argue that Michigan is a potential loss because its obvious some of these people have never been to Michigan. Anyway, I'll say it again: Palestine isn't going to matter in this election.
During a faculty strike, I tried to talk to a prominent person about the strike. Asked if they had a second, only to be met with, "I might, but if you're not asking in a media capacity then I got all the time in the world." I feel like a lot political reporters would crumple hearing that. Most sportswriters learn this the first week of the job.THEY DON'T HAVE TO TALK TO YOU.Political reporters never seem to learn this.— Charles P. Pierce (@CharlesPPierce) August 8, 2024
